View the comprehensive information about the competitive benefits package on our careers page then scroll down to <strong>CENTERS Benefits </strong>(click link to view).</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Safely instruct an effective, creative group fitness class at the Recreation Center</li>\n <li>Provide quality customer service to all participants in class, regardless of fitness level, appearance, or otherwise</li>\n <li>Communicate effectively with supervisor through phone, email, or in person</li>\n <li>Enforce all program policies and procedures as it pertains to the class</li>\n <li>Enforce all building policies and procedures and assist as needed during emergencies</li>\n <li>Attend all Group Fitness and all department staff meetings</li>\n <li>Other duties as required</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Possess current CPR/AED and First Aid certifications</li>\n <li><p>ACE, AFAA, ACSM; specialty certifications are required to teach specialty classes such as yoga, group cycling, pilates, etc. It is preferred that all candidates have a primary group exercise certification AND specialty cert. Exceptions will be on a case-by-case basis based on a variety of factors</p></li>\n <li>Leadership and supervisory abilities</li>\n <li>Entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm</li>\n <li>Ability to work independently</li>\n <li>Knowledge of standard practices in recreational sports</li>\n <li>Strong communication skills</li>\n <li>Ability to thrive in an environment that values high expectations, accountability, and balanced lifestyles</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Competencies:</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Technical Competencies</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Proficiency with audio/visual equipment. </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Human Relations:</strong></p>\n<p>Internal contacts include staff at all levels. External contacts include external customers and vendors.
