    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><div><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\" data-pasted=\"true\"><strong><u>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Under supervision of licensed engineer, develops structural engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents and assessments for commercial facilities, including new construction and renovation.</li><li>Uses Revit and other structural-specific design and calculation software to create detailed designs for construction documents.&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinates with code requirements to ensure proper construction practices are followed.</li><li>Selects structural materials appropriate for facilities based on coordination with architects, engineers, plans, specifications and code requirements.</li><li>Reviews construction shop drawings, performs site visits, and other construction administration activities.</li><li>Assists upper-level engineers as directed while developing engineering skills.</li><li>Writes technical engineering reports.</li><li>Reviews and redlines production plans for revisions.</li><li>Participates in and ensures QC/QA procedures are followed. Maintains accurate design standards and procedures in assigned work.</li><li>Provides technical support and input.</li><li>Cooperates and coordinates with other internal and external engineers, designers and technicians on project activities.</li><li>Participates in internal and external project meetings as needed.</li><li>Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.</li><li>Complies with all safety policies, practices and procedures.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>COMPETENCIES</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Technical capacity</li><li>Communication proficiency</li><li>Problem solving/analysis</li><li>Accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Thoroughness</li></ul><p style=\"margin-left:0in;\"><strong><u>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS</u></strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left: -0.25in;\"><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering (with Structural emphasis), or Civil Engineering (with Structural emphasis) from ABET accredited college or university. One to three years&rsquo; structural engineering experience preferred.</li><li>Fundamentals of Engineering Exam passed and E.I. designation earned preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Autodesk Revit preferred.</li><li>English language skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.</li><li>Mathematical skills: ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.</li><li>Reasoning skills: ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
