    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div>\n    <link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/22.7.18/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\" />\n    <link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/22.7.18/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\" />\n\n    <div class=\"fr-view\">\n      <div><link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/21.43.15/styles/froala_editor.pkgd.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\">&nbsp;<link href=\"https://static.workforcenow.adp.com/mas/mdf-components/21.43.15/styles/froala_style.min.css\" rel=\"stylesheet\" type=\"text/css\"><div class=\"fr-view\"><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>NATURE OF WORK</strong></p><p>Under general supervision, performs skilled work in the operation of trucks and equipment used in the maintenance of County roads in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><em>The following duties <strong>ARE NOT&nbsp;</strong>intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. &nbsp;Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties.</em></p><ul><li>Operates a variety of trucks, equipment, and hand tools in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures; learns to maintain vehicles and equipment according to County standards.</li><li>Performs traffic control and flagging activities as needed; follows safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites, including placing signs, barricades, traffic cones, and other warning devices; duties may vary according to job assignment.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs basic road repair and maintenance tasks; reports safety hazards and traffic problems.</li><li>Performs manual labor assignments as needed, including accident and hazardous materials cleanup, guardrail and foliage maintenance, and snow and debris removal.</li><li>Responds to emergencies as directed and performs tasks in the interest of public safety and property protection during emergencies.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>WORKING ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL DEMANDS: &nbsp;</strong></p><p>Work is performed in and around County roads, highways, and infrastructure and involves regular exposure to variable weather conditions, moving traffic, hazardous materials and chemicals, and machinery with moving parts; subject to standing, walking, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, operating equipment, and lifting of objects up to 75 pounds.</p><p><strong>EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS:</strong></p><p>This is the entry level position in the Driver / Operator series. High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. No prior experience is required; prior construction experience is preferred.</p><p>A valid Class A Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License is required. May require Traffic Control Flagger Card; may be required to complete First Aid/AED/CPR training programs.
