Each employee at the College is an integral part of the Moraine Park mission, and we work diligently to hire candidates with aligned values to help move the mission of Moraine Park forward. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a Mechanical Design Technology Instructor on our Fond du Lac Campus. This position is responsible for the multiple modality delivery of instruction and facilitation of student learning and providing ongoing development of curriculum, assessment, and learning strategies to meet college academic and workforce needs. In addition, this position will provide regular student support and contact, or refer to the appropriate department, to meet the learner’s classroom and career goals.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or willing to obtain a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program. Progress toward a Bachelor’s degree will be measured through the successful completion of a minimum of three (3) credits of coursework annually, beginning with the third year of employment. Two years (4,000 hours) of paid work experience related to the program(s) being taught, including one year (2,000 hours) of related paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five years. In lieu of this one year of recent experience, two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five years may be considered. Click here.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p>• Prepare for and facilitate learning in the assigned courses according to the College’s core values. Establish a professional and safe learning environment. Set the classroom tone by modeling appropriate workplace skills and behavior. Maintain a positive climate for learning by performing classroom management and being aware of, monitoring, and enforcing the Student Code of Conduct.• Meet student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments.• Maintain student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Submit grades within the expected timeframe. • Provide timely verbal and written feedback to the students to ensure continued growth and development.• Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.• Assist with student recruitment and proactively promote the College programs and services offered.• Promote retention and student success through the utilization of referrals to College services and resources. • Engage in internal and external College meetings and activities. • Build and maintain ongoing relationships with K-12, Department of Corrections (DOC), community, and industry partners beyond the classroom.• Actively maintain proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices. Complete annual professional development activities in areas of Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies. Complete all required training. • Assist with mentoring faculty.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Experience & Qualifications<em>(in addition to those listed in the summary above)</em>:</strong></p>\n<p>• Experience with at least half of the following job duties:  o Mold and/or Metal Stamping Die Design  o Production Planning  o Drafting Layout  o Electronics, Pneumatics, and Mechanical Equipment  o Design Research  o Technical Writing  o Design checking  o Inspecting  o Detailing  o Product Research  o Math Computations  o Cost Estimate for Design  o Material Handling Design  o Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Experience  o Jigs and Fixtures</p>\n<p>• Upon hire, must maintain and/or obtain Higher Learning Commission, Faculty Quality Assurance System, and other agency requirements and licensure required to maintain individual and program accreditation, if applicable.• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong>• Master’s degree in related field.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Other Position Requirements:</strong>• Flexible scheduling may be required to include evenings and weekends.• This position may require teaching and/or travel to other MPTC (Moraine Park Technical College) campus locations, client/contract work sites, and/or Department of Corrections (DOC) institutions. • Must possess a valid driver’s license.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Hiring Range: </strong>$74,440-$86,352 (pending board approval)</p>\n<p><strong>Starting:</strong> August 11, 2026 (Fall 2026)</p>\n<p><strong>Workplace Flexibility: </strong>Open campus</p>\n<p><strong>Benefits information: </strong>Please click here for a summary of our benefits.     </p>\n<p> </p>",
