    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><div><p data-pasted=\"true\"><strong>Position summary:</strong>&nbsp; Inspect, repair, and maintain loading dock equipment and loading dock systems at customers&rsquo; facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. This position is also responsible for the installation of dock levelers, truck restraints, and other related dock equipment.</p><p><strong>General Purpose:</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp; To support our company mission to keep our customers&rsquo; equipment running with the least amount of downtime possible.</p><p><strong>Role qualifications:</strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Must maintain excellent rapport with customers.</li><li>Must stay current with technical knowledge on products we support.</li><li>Must ensure we use &ldquo;safety&rdquo; in all activities encountered throughout the day.</li><li>Must be willing to work overtime as needed to satisfy customer, to include off-hours emergency calls.</li></ul><p><strong>Position responsibilities:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Inspect, maintain and repair loading docks, dock levelers, dock seals, truck shelters, and overhead doors.</li><li>Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, air, and electrical issues.</li><li>Perform preventative maintenance on dock equipment.</li><li>Respond to emergency repair calls as needed.</li><li>Attend service training classes offered to maintain knowledge on new products, or for refreshers on products not encountered too often.</li><li>Complete all service jobs that are assigned to you.</li><li>Complete and submit all paperwork daily for jobs worked on (timecards, maintenance reports with customers&rsquo; signature). Paperwork must be completed at job site before leaving for the next job or going home.</li><li>Maintain accurate service and inspection records.</li><li>Work collaboratively with warehouse and logistics teams.</li><li>Communicate with dispatcher and/or service office as to status of jobs and availability for new jobs.</li><li>Maintain an organized service van.</li><li>Develop and maintain relationships with territory sales representatives to keep them informed of sales opportunities you might see.</li><li>Always adhere to safety rules and policies at all times, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p><p><strong>Essential skills and experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>One to three years of experience in dock equipment, industrial maintenance, or related field.</li><li>Technical training or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.</li><li>Must have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Must successfully complete any training courses required.</li><li>Strong customer orientation.</li><li>Must be a good communicator &ndash; written and verbal.</li><li>Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Basic computer proficiency and laptop fundamentals.</li><li>Must own tools necessary to perform repairs.</li><li>Must have valid driver&rsquo;s license and good driving record.</li><li>Must be certified to operate material handling equipment.</li><li>Commitment to company vision and mission.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Nonessential skills and experience:</strong></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li>Experience with hydraulic systems and motor controls.</li><li>Welding and fabrication experience.</li><li>Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.</li><li>Class A CDL license is preferred, however not required, the company can assist with obtaining that license. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>Awareness of lean business principles.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Reporting to this position:</strong>&nbsp; no direct reports</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Physical demands and work environment:</strong>&nbsp; The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. &nbsp;Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:</p><ul type=\"disc\"><li><em>Physical demands:</em>&nbsp; Employee lifts and carries in excess of 75 pounds on a very occasional basis, 25-50 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds frequently.
