This is a part-time/temporary position that may be scheduled to work outside of normal business hours.</p><p><br/></p><p>Requirements</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><p>Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p><ul><li>Know the locations of all fire equipment including: fire extinguishers, fixed extinguishing systems, control valves, fire panel, etc.</li><li>Be aware of fire alarm bypasses.</li><li>Patrol the property including the Arena areas of: Event Level, Concourse Level, Club Level, and Catwalk Level. The Fire Marshal should watch for fire hazards as well as other safety and building issues. The Fire Marshal should not go to dressing room area unless specifically needed.</li><li>Respond to fire emergency incidents to provide assistance and expert guidance.</li><li>Assist with a full or partial evacuation as necessary.</li><li>Monitor any Pyrotechnics used.</li><li>Monitor extra fire extinguishers on stage in the arena.</li><li>Monitor radio Channel 1.</li><li>Assist with crowd control when necessary.</li><li>Coordinate with Med Techs to assist with emergency vehicles. Emergency vehicles should stage at the loading docks whenever possible.</li><li>Notify Security & Parking when emergency vehicles are incoming.</li><li>The Security Manager will schedule the Fire Marshal using the schedule from the Event Manager and the list of approved Fire Marshals.</li><li>The Fire Marshal should arrive at their scheduled time and stay until the majority of patrons have left.</li><li>The Fire Marshal should be staffed by the following schedule for the Arena:</li></ul><p>(1) Fire Marshal Up to 5,000 attendees</p><p>(2) Fire Marshals Up to 5,000 attendees with Pyro</p><p>(2) Fire Marshals 5,001 – 7,000 attendees</p><p>(3) Fire Marshals Over 7,000 attendees</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Education and Experience</strong></p><p>The Fire Marshal should be an employee of Gwinnett County Fire Department.
