The position is to join a collaborative team of anesthesiologists and advanced practice anesthesia providers at the <strong>Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute.</strong> The Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute consists of one building with an outpatient surgery center and an inpatient orthopedic hospital. The case mix ranges from diagnostic outpatient orthopedic procedures to complex total joint replacement and spine surgery. The responsibility in this position is to deliver exceptional patient experience with safe, up to date care, while acting as a catalyst to expand the organization’s mission and achieve its vision.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><u>Practice Highlights:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Collaborative member of anesthesia department to work with surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals</li>\n <li>Evaluate and formulate anesthetic plans for patients undergoing surgical and/or diagnostic care</li>\n <li>Peripheral Nerve Blocks required.</li>\n <li>Supervision/Medical Direction of certified anesthetists delivering anesthesia</li>\n <li>Administer anesthesia intraoperatively with continuous monitoring of vital signs and titration of anesthesia needed</li>\n <li>Schedule: Monday – Friday with no holidays, nights or weekends</li>\n <li>No Call Requirements</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Other Related Functions</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures</li>\n <li>Attends and participates in departmental meetings and educational initiatives</li>\n <li>Teach student anesthetists, residents, fellows or other learners</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Education/Training</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Anesthesiology Residency program.</li>\n <li>Board eligible or board certified in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology or the American Osteopathic Association</li>\n <li>Unrestricted FL Medical License (or the ability to obtain one) and DEA</li>\n <li>Training in advanced regional anesthesia and nerve blocks highly preferred</li>\n <li>H1-B visa sponsorship is available</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Experience</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Open to new graduates and experienced Anesthesiologist</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Benefits Package:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Competitive compensation package </li>\n <li>Benefits package includes health/vision/dental insurance along with full malpractice coverage, disability coverage, deferred compensation and 403(b) with employer match.</li>\n <li>Generous starting bonus with eligibility for an annual bonus</li>\n <li>Orlando Health offers 4 weeks of continuous pay for parental leave.</li>\n <li>CME Stipend</li>\n <li>Eligible employer under the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Orlando Community:</u></strong></p>\n<p>Orlando is a thriving metropolis with numerous activities and plenty of sunshine to enjoy year-round. The only facility of its kind in Florida, it includes 75 private inpatient “smart” rooms, a state-of-the-art research and innovation center with a 10-station bio skills lab and 3D printer, and a 116-seat auditorium ideal for educational symposiums and conferences.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute also trains future orthopedic specialists through the graduate medical education program.
