    "requisitionDescription": "<div><div><p><br></p><p id=\"isPasted\"><strong>Title:&nbsp;</strong>Biomedical Equipment Repair Technician 3</p><p><strong>Location:</strong> Brook Army Medical Center (San Antonio, TX)</p><p><strong>Education:</strong> Graduate of a military BMET Course or a higher education degree from an accredited college in BMET or Engineering.</p><p><strong>Clearance:&nbsp;</strong>Public Trust Clearance or above preferred. A Public Trust Clearance is not required day one but will be processed and therefore must be a US Citizen able to obtain a clearance.</p><p><strong>Summary:</strong></p><ul><li>The Association for the Advancement Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) standards for BMETs and levels of qualifications shall be applied to this position. CP shall provide expert-level experience in the repair, calibrate, and maintenance of all types of clinical equipment technologies, devices, instruments, and complex systems. &nbsp;Inspect, install, repair, prepare for disposition, and provide SPM of MDE.</li><li>Duties include all items listed under <strong>BMET II</strong>, to additionally include.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MDE in three (3) or more of the following modalities: Healthcare Imaging (Radiology), Laboratory, Sterilization, Patient Monitoring, Operating Room Services, Dental, Pharmacy, Respiratory Services, Scopes, Pulmonary, Anesthesia, Veterinary, and High-End Electronics.</li><li>Assign routine SPM, repairs, inspections, dispositions, and installations to CPs and observe their performance.</li><li>Provides mentorship, guidance, and assistance to other BMETs, BES and clinical staff on safe use, application, testing, and SPM and repair of all types of clinical equipment technologies and systems.</li><li>Recommend new equipment and testing procedures.</li><li>Collaborate with Information Systems to ensure HIPAA compliance and connectivity of MDE.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Graduate of a military BMET Course or a higher education degree from an accredited college in BMET or Engineering</li><li>8 years relevant experience</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Extensive knowledge and ability to apply electronic circuitry and technical aspects of the operation, repair and maintenance of electronic equipment. Repair electronic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical and mechanical medical to include troubleshooting, identifying source of problem(s), replacement of defective printed circuit board(s), discrete component(s), or other parts as appropriate.</li><li>Applies knowledge of information theory, computer science, and systems analysis to integrated operational systems for specific and complex MDE and systems; such as the Cardio/Patient Monitoring Systems, Imaging Systems and DINPACS. &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Knowledge of systems interface and local area network issues are significant and not defined/discussed in manufacturer literature.</li><li>Basic knowledge of networking theory.</li></ul><p><br></p></div></div>\n",
