    "description": "<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Intermediate Construction Surveyor</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><br></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Outcome Consultants Inc.</span></span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Can you see yourself here?</span></span><span>  Outcome Consultants provides environmental and construction support services to a variety of clients in the government, construction, and mining industries.    Since we started in 2012, our company has expanded over 20% each year and this has included a growing demand for construction survey services.   If you are a qualified surveyor (see <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications</span> below) and you are looking for a company that will mentor and generously reward you as you grow its survey division, Outcome is the right place for you. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>And what is “here” anyways?</span></span><span>  Outcome is in Ottawa, but hey, it’s 2025, and even before COVID, Outcome operated with almost half of its staff based in other cities.  That’s because our project sites are hardly ever in Ottawa and most of your work will be at remote sites.  We are also amazing at using computers and phones to communicate effectively as a team, including members working from a home-office.  So if you know you can succeed this way and you live in Canada, your “here” is our “here”.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>What will you do?</span></span><span>  Bad news is that it is work (see <span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Responsibilities</span> below) and so you have to be prepared to survey on a diverse portfolio of project sites at various locations in Canada, operate extended periods outdoors in inclement weather, handle tight timelines, and once and awhile, to smile.  The good news is that you will always have a great sense of pride to be part of a team completing some really awesome construction projects and you will always have the newest, coolest equipment and software to create outputs that will impress the hell out of your clients. </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<p><span>Responsible as an intermediate surveyor to carry out the following: </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Undertake and coordinate the planning and implementation of construction survey and drafting for heavy civil construction projects</span></li>\n<li><span>Conduct and oversee survey requirements to facilitate construction activities, including modeling for and layout of critical structures for projects, and to complete as-built surveys </span></li>\n<li><span>Complete data analysis from as-built surveys and quantity calculations for progress claims </span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain accurate survey records and related documentation </span></li>\n<li><span>Perform drafting for various drawings required for pre-construction planning, interim and close-out documentation, or similar reporting</span></li>\n<li><span>Acquire, manage, and maintain survey instruments and related assets</span></li>\n<li><span>Adhere to all safety policies and procedures</span></li>\n<li><span>Adhere to quality management systems and SOPs related to survey activities and related deliverables </span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Required Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Associate degree or college diploma </span></li>\n<li><span>Minimum 3 years of experience as a surveyor</span></li>\n<li><span>Read and interpret construction drawings</span></li>\n<li><span>Knowledge of applicable Health &amp; Safety legislation</span></li>\n<li><span>DGPS (Trimble R12 or equivalent), Total Station (SX10 or equivalent), and Drone (Phantom 4 Pro or equivalent) equipment operational experience  </span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Strong computer skills and proficiency in the use of MSOffice, ACAD Civil 3D, or equivalent modeling and engineering-based drafting software</span></li>\n<li><span>Self-starter with the ability to set standards of excellence in safety and quality</span></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Strong work ethic with the ability to lead a team or work individually</span></li>\n<li><span>Must be physically fit, work outdoors in various weather conditions, can regularly carry 20kg of equipment</span></li>\n<li><span>Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract</span><br><br></li>\n</ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Location:</span></span><span>   Various Construction Sites throughout Canada, including remote locations.   </span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span>Work remotely:</span></span><span>  Yes</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>We thank all applicants for their interest;
