The MTSS Coordinator oversees the school’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports and reports to the Director of Student Services as a member of the Student Services team. This is an in-person position at Northwest Classical Academy’s Kennesaw campus. This is a 10-month position that starts in July 2026.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:</strong></p><ul><li>Adhere to the school’s mission and the principles of classical education</li><li>Facilitate the implementation of the MTSS process, which aims to ensure the early identification and intervention for students with academic needs.&nbsp;</li><li>Use data to identify struggling students, monitor progress, and guide decision-making for interventions.</li><li>Coordinate and deliver MTSS interventions and progress monitoring</li><li>Train and support teachers on MTSS procedures and interventions under the guidance of the Director of Student Services</li><li>Schedule and facilitate MTSS meetings with parents, teachers, and other staff members</li><li>Intake Speech and OT referrals, complete initial eligibility for Special Education referral packets, and attend special education eligibility meetings</li><li>Demonstrate professional and ethical practices consistent with school policies in working with students, student records, parents, and colleagues</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator</li><li>Model good judgment, prudence, virtue, self-discipline, and responsibility</li></ul><p><strong>Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>A Bachelor's Degree in a related field from a fully accredited college is required.</li><li>Valid teaching certification in Georgia is preferred but not required.</li><li>Previous experience in classical education is preferred but not required.</li><li>Candidates should possess excellent written and oral communication skills.</li></ul><p>Strong candidates will support the school’s Mission: to develop students in mind and character through a classical, content-rich curriculum that emphasizes the principles of virtuous living, traditional learning, and civic responsibility. &nbsp;They will have enthusiasm for the Vision: to be a nationally regarded K-12 classical school and serve as a local and national incubator for growth and promotion of classical education.
