Description

Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as a part-time adjunct instructor for our Accounting department.  Under general supervision, this individual will prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction; evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals, objectives, and student learning outcomes. This position is part-time/exempt. Please note the following information regarding this position: May be required to teach high school students May require teaching on or off campus throughout our service delivery area (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County) May require travel Responsibilities: Delivers effective individualized program instruction to class members Ensures adherence to technical college and safety requirements in classrooms and labs by following established procedures Selects and obtains appropriate educational materials for courses Ensures consistency in syllabi, lesson plans, tests, and other appropriate course work Assists with the design and execution of special events, projects and activities as requested Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Minimum Qualifications: A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in the teaching discipline (i.e. Accounting) -OR- A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum 18 graduate semester hours or 27 graduate quarter hours required in Accounting). Preferred Qualifications: CPA Certification Teaching experience at college level Salary/Benefits: Pay rate is commensurate with education and experience, no benefits.       "description": "<p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as a part-time adjunct instructor for our Accounting department.  Under general supervision, this individual will prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction; evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals, objectives, and student learning outcomes. <strong>This position is part-time/exempt.</strong></span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Please note the following information regarding this position:</strong></span></span></p><ol><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">May be required to teach high school students</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">May require teaching on or off campus throughout our service delivery area (Muscogee County, Stewart County, Quitman County, Chattahoochee County, Harris County, and Talbot County)</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">May require travel</span></span></li></ol><p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Delivers effective individualized program instruction to class members</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Ensures adherence to technical college and safety requirements in classrooms and labs by following established procedures</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Selects and obtains appropriate educational materials for courses</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Ensures consistency in syllabi, lesson plans, tests, and other appropriate course work</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Assists with the design and execution of special events, projects and activities as requested</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.</span></span></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in the teaching discipline (i.e. Accounting)</span></span></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">-OR-</span></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">A Master’s Degree from an accredited institution with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum 18 graduate semester hours or 27 graduate quarter hours required in Accounting).</span></span></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></span></span></p><ul><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">CPA Certification</span></span></li><li><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Teaching experience at college level</span></span></li></ul><p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Salary/Benefits:</strong></span></span><br><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Pay rate is commensurate with education and experience, no benefits.</span></span></p><p><span style=\"font-size:14px;\"><span style=\"font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Application Deadline:</strong><br>Applications accepted until filled.
