Due to continued growth and expansion, we are adding dedicated Mohs Technicians to our team. These newly created positions reflect our commitment to advancing dermatologic care through innovation, precision, and excellence in laboratory science.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Mission Statement:</strong></p><p>The mission for Tareen Dermatology is to provide compassionate, state of the art dermatologic care to each patient with an emphasis on early diagnosis, patient education, and comprehensive skincare.</p><p>Our Vision is to exceed the patient’s expectations by providing individualized, expert, and ethical care. We seek to be a leader in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology and to always give back through service in our community.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>• Accurately prepares histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by a Pathologist or Mohs Surgeon.</p><p>• Identifies, prepares, cuts, stains, and preserves specimen integrity in such a manner for the Pathologist or Mohs Surgeon to render a reliable diagnosis.</p><p>• Utilizes high level of technical skills for testing methods as well as special knowledge and abilities for troubleshooting. Maintains laboratory equipment and inventory. Prepares special stains including immunohistochemistry.</p><p>• Performs all dermatology tissue dissection according to the grossing procedure.</p><p>• Performs tissue manipulation and orientation mapping on Mohs specimens with high degree of accuracy and reliability to ensure results that can assist in the timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.</p><p>• Competent in all pre-analytic, analytic and post-analytical phases of histology and Mohs surgery.</p><p>• Performs grossing/dissection of skin and MOHS specimens using skills and knowledge of tissue type and structure.</p><p>• Use equipment and instruments including microscopes, H&amp;E Linear Stainer, cryostats and other lab equipment.</p><p>• Receive and accession specimens by labeling Mohs map and Mohs log.</p><p>• Prepare Mohs sections for immediate examination according to procedure.</p><p>• Performs grossing/dissection of skin and MOHS specimens using skills and knowledge of tissue type and structure while maintaining orientation and specimen integrity.</p><p>• Performs solution preparation with accuracy and proper labeling.</p><p>• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance to policies, procedures and complies with all State, Federal, and professional regulations.</p><p>• Monitor quality control and proper maintenance of all logs, equipment and instruments.</p><p>• Comply with HIPAA Regulations</p><p>• Comply with OSHA rules, safety standards and regulations.</p><p>• All other duties as assigned.</p>",
