Description
Job Title: Outside Sales
Reports to: Vice President of Sales
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Summary:
Outside sales positions communicate with Customers and leads to identify and suggest product needs by demonstrating the functions of the products to meet their needs.
Outside Sales Responsibilities:
Builds and maintains a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads. Builds and maintains relationships with current clientele to enhance purchasing targets and encourage repeat business. Communicates with Customers and Leads to identify and understand product or service needs; identify product recommendations to meet those needs. Demonstrates the function of the products to Customers based on their needs. Ensures Customer satisfaction through on-going communication and relationship management; resolves issues that arise post-sale. Maintains communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services and enhancements that be of interest. Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any Customer or vendor relationship problems. Responsible for maintaining territory sales forecasts. Responsible for developing leads to meet sales targets. Outside Sales Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent Undergraduate Degree (preferred) Previous sales experience Knowledge of appliance, lighting or plumbing industry (preferred) Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to obtain results and comfortable with team-spirited competition. Provides exceptional Customer Service through enthusiasm for the Company and products offered. Ability to maintain regular and consistent attendance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong written and verbal skills, detail oriented and proficient in basic computer skills. Must be able to travel up to 75%. Physical Requirements and Preferred Experience:
Must be able to communicate with Customers and Builders. Must be able to use a standard computer. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
