This position is vital for ensuring that our operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. The General Manager will inspire and mentor a dedicated team, cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement while spearheading production initiatives. With a keen focus on the plant's goals and objectives, the ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with visionary leadership and operational acumen, all fueled by a passion for outstanding manufacturing practices. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What Will You Do</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Strategic Leadership:</strong> Develop and execute innovative business strategies to achieve organizational goals, emphasizing planning, budgeting, and performance measurement.</li>\n <li><strong>Operational Oversight:</strong> Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across the organization, with a deep understanding of transformer manufacturing processes.</li>\n <li><strong>Production Planning:</strong> Skilled in production planning and inventory management to meet production targets and optimize resources.</li>\n <li><strong>Quality Assurance:</strong> Expert in quality control and assurance standards, ensuring products meet or exceed industry benchmarks.</li>\n <li><strong>Continuous Improvement:</strong> Knowledgeable in continuous improvement methodologies and operational excellence practices, driving initiatives that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.</li>\n <li><strong>Technology Integration:</strong> Familiar with advanced manufacturing technologies and automation, implementing best practices to improve processes.</li>\n <li><strong>Change Management:</strong> Serve as a strong change management champion, guiding the organization through transitions and ensuring adaptability.</li>\n <li><strong>Customer Focus:</strong> Champion the concept of being a customer MVP (Most Valuable Partner), ensuring that the customer’s needs drive operational decisions.</li>\n <li><strong>Team Engagement:</strong> Lead and inspire manufacturing associates to achieve production goals in a safe and positive environment.</li>\n <li><strong>Talent Development:</strong> Demonstrate a proven record of growing and developing team members, promoting from within and cultivating a servant leadership mindset.</li>\n <li><strong>Financial Management:</strong> Manage budgets, focusing on capital expenditures, P&L responsibilities, and cost-reduction initiatives.</li>\n <li><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</strong> Build strong relationships with industry stakeholders, vendors, and customers to drive new business opportunities.</li>\n <li><strong>Data-Driven Decisions:</strong> Utilize metrics and analytics to drive business performance and strategic initiatives.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>What Will You Need</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Education:</strong> Bachelor’s degree, technical degree, or certification in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience will also be considered.</li>\n <li><strong>Experience:</strong> A minimum of <strong>15 years in a manufacturing environment</strong>, with over 10 years of <strong>leadership experience specifically in manufacturing,</strong> particularly in <strong>transformer production</strong>. Demonstrated a proven history of growth and internal promotions.</li>\n <li><strong>Leadership Attributes:</strong> Ability to drive organizational change, elevate effectiveness, and integrate cross-functional teams, linking strategic initiatives to team objectives.</li>\n <li><strong>Industry Knowledge:</strong> Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety standards, preferably within the <strong>distribution transformer industry.</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Large Facility Management:</strong> Created a strategic approach to managing a facility and its people while consistently exceeding production goals. Experience managing large <strong>heavy manufacturing</strong> facilities, preferably in <strong>transformer production</strong>.</li>\n <li><strong>Lean and Six Sigma Expertise:</strong> Implemented <strong>Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma,</strong> or similar methodologies to drive process improvement.</li>\n <li><strong>Budget Management:</strong> Excellent skills in budget management, financial planning, P&L, and cost control, with a proven record in improving production efficiency.</li>\n <li><strong>Leadership Skills:</strong> Knowledge of servant leadership principles and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate, lead, and engage teams effectively, fostering collaboration and high performance.</li>\n <li><strong>Cross-Functional Expertise: </strong>Significant depth in areas such as manufacturing, engineering, quality, supply chain, logistics, finance, and HR, with experience as both a doer and a leader in multi-site operations.</li>\n <li><strong>Customer-Centric Focus:</strong> Created customer-centric environments that prioritize client needs and satisfaction.</li>\n <li><strong>Performance Accountability:</strong> Led within performance-driven environments, demonstrating high personal and functional accountability.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Let’s Build the Future Together</strong>At ERMCO, your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your impact is real.
