    "descriptionText": "Description\n\n JOB SUMMARY \n\nThis position requires an enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, and ethical approach to environmental support to the engineering division. The individual will perform a wide range of environmental tasks, including wetland/stream delineation, report writing, environmental analysis, permit application preparation, etc. across multiple projects, assisting project managers and technical leads in the successful delivery of project objectives.\n\n ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: \n\n Conduct field wetland/stream delineations in accordance with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ (USACEs’) 1987 Wetland Delineation Manual and subsequent regional supplements, and Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s (PADEP’s) Chapter 105 policies.\n Prepare USACE wetland data forms and aquatic resource delineation reports.\n Prepare PADEP Chapter 105 and USACE Section 404 permit applications and related documents.\n Conduct evaluations to document PennDOT compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.\n Keep up to date with environmental regulations/policies (Chp. 105, Sec. 404, Endangered Species Act, NEPA, etc.).\n Strong commitment to field/office safety procedures.\n\n OTHER PRINCIPAL DUTIES: \n\n Perform additional responsibilities as needed, consistent with the role and level of the position.\n Travel as required to support project needs and field activities.\n Participate in company provided training and professional development opportunities.\n\n Requirements\n\n EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED: \n\n 5+ years of progressively responsible environmental experience related to the essential job functions.\n B.S. Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or related field required.\n Independent field wetland/stream delineation experience required.\n Ability to work safely outdoors in variable weather conditions and in challenging terrain.\n Experience in preparing PADEP Chapter 105 and USACE Section 404 permit applications and related documents.\n Working knowledge of applicable federal/state regulations pertaining to aquatic resources and threatened/endangered species required.\n Prior experience with sub meter GPS equipment, including post field data processing required.\n Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).\n Prior experience with Civil 3D/AutoCAD/ArcGIS preferred. Experience with Microstation a plus.\n Prior experience with National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 compliance is a plus.\n Detail oriented with strong analytical, problem solving, time management, and technical writing skills.\n Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.\n Prior experience with PennDOT’s CE Expert and KEES systems a plus.\n Ability to communicate effectively with co workers, clients, regulatory staff, and other stakeholders in a professional manner.\n Ability to prepare accurate technical work products with minimal errors.\n\n Benefits\n\nCDR Maguire provides employees competitive benefits packages and the resources to develop and succeed in both their professional and personal lives.
