    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p>If you are a Field Service Engineering with boiler experience and looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson has an exciting <strong>Process Tuner Field Engineer </strong>opportunity for you with our Power and Water Solutions team! <strong>This role is based in our Houston, TX, but open to remote if you have previous process tuner and Ovation DCS experience and willing to travel 80%.&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>This key contributor will play a major role in managing resources associated with the development and generation of our service &amp; field projects business. You will also provide matrix supervision to a large group of Field Engineer personnel in handling all aspects of these businesses in dealing with customers in the power industry.</p>\n<div>\n <strong>In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:</strong>\n</div>\n<div>\n <ul>\n  <li>Provide advanced process tuning for Boiler or BOP processes.</li>\n  <li>Work with plant operations teams, while at site, to ensure effective tuning of plant processes for optimized productivity of steam and electricity.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Develop and implement startup and tuning activities for major retrofit projects.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Generate and store tuning reports for all site tuning.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Work with stimulation group to startup and tune high fidelity systems for different customer units.</li>\n  <li>Conduct site acceptance and performance testing for major retrofit projects to meet contractual performance targets.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Apply highly specialized knowledge and skills in an advisory or technical assistant role to engineering and management teams on complex technical or related problems. &nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Contact customers to review and promote their needs for service, maintenance contracts, system adds, and stand-alone system requirements.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Develop and advise the implementation of \"engineered system\" projects or system adds using current and non-current technologies.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Provide project management on large projects during installation, start-up, or where it is required to supervise our subcontractors (such as system installers).&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Provide recommendations for hiring of Field Engineers and participate in interviews, performance evaluations, etc.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Analyze, investigate, and resolve customer warranty and policy claims. This requires an in-depth knowledge of the obligations and restrictions set forth by warranties and policies so that claims can be settled promptly and efficiently.&nbsp;<br>\n   &nbsp;</li>\n </ul>\n</div>\n<div>\n <strong>Who You Are:</strong>\n</div>\n<div>\n <p>You serve as a strategic partner to build, grow, and maintain profitable and long-lasting relationships with key accounts. You show a tremendous amount of initiative in tough situations and are exceptional at spotting and seizing opportunities. You set stretch goals and objectives, pushing individuals or teams to perform at higher levels.<br>\n  &nbsp;</p>\n</div>\n<div>\n <strong>For This Role, You Will Need:</strong>\n</div>\n<div>\n <ul>\n  <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical degree.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>A minimum of eight (8) years of field engineering related experience.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Strong understanding of power plant operation and controls.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Strong understanding of control schemes for Boiler and Turbine on conventional and combined cycle plants as well as water treatment and renewable power generating facilities.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Demonstrated experience tuning conventional, combined cycle, or renewable plants.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Willingness and ability to travel 80% of time, primarily in North America.&nbsp;</li>\n  <li>Capable of displaying a high degree of ingenuity, resourcefulness, and competence in day-to-day technical activities.
