Description

El/La incumbente será responsable de producir imágenes de diagnóstico y datos de diagnóstico para ayudar a los proveedores de servicios médicos con el diagnóstico y tratamiento adecuado. Los resultados se documentan en el expediente electrónico de salud de los pacientes y se comunican como se requiere. Recibirá la orden médica de las imágenes que requiere el paciente, luego realiza los procedimientos siguiendo los protocolos establecidos para dicho examen. Disponible para laborar en la unidad móvil de Mamografía para las áreas donde se organice un evento alrededor de todo Puerto Rico. Instruir a los pacientes en relación con los movimientos respiratorios y la posición requerida para la toma adecuada de la mamografía. Le ofrece instrucciones al paciente y lo orienta sobre los procedimientos que se va a llevar a cabo. Cumple con los estándares de seguridad, considera como parte importante de sus funciones; la protección del paciente. Evaluará las imágenes realizadas para asegurar su calidad diagnóstica y las somete para interpretación del Radiólogo. Deberá realizar control de calidad en el equipo según la frecuencia establecida. Responsable de asegurarse que el funcionamiento del equipo y control de calidad este en óptimas condiciones. Capaz de cambiar parámetros de análisis necesarios para los estudios óptimos y concisos para la interpretación efectiva del médico. Desinfectar, esterilizar y mantener el equipo organizado. Ajustar el equipo para cada examen y determinar el voltaje apropiado. Consultar con Radiólogos y otros facltativos sobre exploraciones inusuales y la necesidad de volver a analizar; ayudar con la interpretación. Los requisitos para esta posición son los siguientes: Poseer Bachillerato, preferiblemente en mamografía de universidad acreditada. Licencia vigente de Mamografista y Tecnóloga de Rayos X. Educación continua en Mamografía. Experiencia de 200 mamografías o más en los últimos 24 meses.
