Helping others is at the core of our culture, join us in finding fulfillment by giving back to our local communities as the united team that is AIT.  Find out what <strong>our people deliver.®</strong> means when you come move the world with us!  </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Hear directly from our teammates at AIT Worldwide Logistics and make us the next stop on your career journey.</p>\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>The <strong><em>Domestic Agent II </em></strong>has high visibility, is the primary contact for designated customers, and responsible for the outcome of assigned projects including customer service, tracking, routing, problem resolution, vendor compliance and customer interaction. </p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>Essential</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Quoting, tracking and tracing domestic freight shipments moving via air/ground on a daily basis. Track overhead shipments daily and route accordingly </li>\n <li>Route freight shipments across multiple transportation modes and services based upon client requests </li>\n <li>Proactively communicate with clients regarding status of freight </li>\n <li>Communicate with vendors/suppliers regarding shipment dispatch, routing and rates </li>\n <li>Assist local sales and domestic offices with air/ground freight issues </li>\n <li>Manage daily on-time and defect codes, carrier re-weights and insure all masters rated </li>\n <li>Assist in compiling customer specific key performance indicator (KPI) reports on a weekly/monthly basis as needed </li>\n <li>Ensure paperwork, labeling and scanning for accuracy </li>\n <li>Understand the requirements/expectations of handling shipments of consequence – NFO, high-value, date/time specific, etc.  </li>\n <li>Responsible for processing monthly inventory </li>\n <li>All other duties as the business deems necessary </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Non-Essential</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary. </li>\n <li>Network with corresponding departments to ensure files are billed and posted prior to end of month  </li>\n <li>Continuous learning through required compliance training and certifications of software and/or regulations.   </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Customer Focus (knowing the customer business needs and acting accordingly; proactively addresses customer concerns. Writes grammatically and uses appropriate business writing style.) </li>\n <li>Teamwork (Working as a productive member of a cohesive group toward a common goal. Shares his/her expertise with others.) </li>\n <li>Problem Solving (Having the ability to identify problems and issues of varying complexities and find effective solutions, considering multiple sides of an issue. Weighs consequences before making final decision. Not discouraged by ambiguous situations. Adjusts approach to achieve results.) </li>\n <li>Attention to Detail (Ensures one’s own work are complete and accurate; monitors the quality of work, verifies information, checks the accuracy of own and other’s work; organizes information and materials for others to understand.)  </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><u>Other Skills We Hope to See:</u></strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Associates Degree or equivalent</li>\n <li>3-5 Freight Forwarding experience required, 5 -7 years preferred </li>\n <li>Proficient in MS Word, Excel, SAP and AS400 experience is helpful but not required</li>\n <li><p>​Intermediate knowledge of IATA and TSA regulations.​</p></li>\n <li>High attention to detail and ability to work independently</li>\n <li>High level of organizational skills</li>\n <li>Team Player focused attitude</li>\n <li>Time management is extremely important to meet customer deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>What AIT Can Offer You</h2>\n<p>In addition to your base compensation, you may be eligible for a bonus based on achievement of business and/or individual performance metrics (dependent on position).
