They should possess in-depth knowledge of comprehensive software tools designed to streamline and optimize the process of estimating costs for projects. This employee will play a crucial role in the company by accurately determining the costs associated with different electrical systems and components.</span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Specific Responsibilities: </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Develop accurate, competitive, and profitable takeoff bid proposals for a variety of complex and large as well as small and simple projects.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Review RFQ, RFP, &amp; Invitations to Bid</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Manage the estimating processes and timelines to meet company objectives, both short and long range</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Communication</span></span><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">: Communicate with customers to define the project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing and build relationships.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Review takeoffs from estimators and check for conformity to specs and drawings.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Prioritize, supervise, direct and schedule estimating projects. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Responsible for prioritizing and planning work activities, uses time efficiently and develops realistic action plans.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Prepare contractual exhibits and scope documents. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Conduct internal estimate reviews.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Develops and documents logical assumptions during conceptual estimating activities and applies these assumptions to take-off tasks.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Participate in project turnover and kickoff collaboration when necessary.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Provides analytical summaries and recommendations to the senior leadership as needed to support decision making.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Attending job walks and reporting information back to the manager related to critical differences in job drawings and bid requirements.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Develop and provide estimating training as necessary. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Maintain department confidentiality. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Follow-up on bid results and maintain estimate tracking log.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Analyze estimates vs. completed projects.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Assists with other job responsibilities as required.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Skills and qualifications </span></span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably with an electrical contractor.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Deep understanding of electrical codes and regulations.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Oversees multiple estimators and junior estimators. </span></li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Proficiency or familiarity in using specialized estimation software and tools such as, Accubid &amp; LiveCount </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to create accurate cost estimates, take-offs, and proposals efficiently with minimal errors.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Ability to perform detailed work and successfully meet deadlines, this is critical to the position. </span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.</span></li>\n<li><br><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Strong communication skills are essential to interact with clients, project managers, subcontractors, and other team members.
