    "ExternalDescriptionStr": "<p><strong>Job Description:</strong></p><p><span>Under the direction of the Superintendent of Transportation, Division Manager, or designee, the Dispatcher and Supervisor performs road supervisor and/or dispatcher duties. Supervision encompasses all field operations including:&nbsp;</span></p><ol><li><span>Investigating accidents and passenger incidents and assisting with vehicle breakdowns.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Monitoring the performance of Bus Operators to ensure that fixed route service is provided and that Bus Operators perform in accordance with Pace standards.</span></li><li><span>Performing field supervision of Pace fixed route service, special events, and other activities; and performing security checks at transit centers and park-n-rides.</span></li></ol><p style=\"margin-left:.25in;\"><span>Dispatch functions include:&nbsp;</span></p><ol><li><span>IBS supervision and coordination of bus routes and Bus Operators.</span></li><li><span>Maintaining work assignment board on a daily basis.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Operating and monitoring radio and IBS; responding to calls.</span></li><li><span>Coordinating detours and notifying proper authorities in emergencies, breakdowns, or upon Bus Operator's request.</span></li><li><span>Operating a bus when required.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>&nbsp;Generating and maintaining dispatch paperwork.</span></li><li><span>Answering telephone calls and responding to inquiries.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>Performing other duties as assigned or required.&nbsp;</span></li></ol><p><span>The performance of these duties may be required at any time of the day and night, any day and night of the week. This is a safety-sensitive position and subject to random drug and alcohol testing.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span><strong>Qualifications</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>Age:</strong></span></p><p><span>21+</span></p><p><span><strong>Education:</strong></span></p><p><span>Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalency.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span><strong>Experience:</strong></span></p><p><span>Must have at least three (3) years' experience in transportation with a good work record, including reliable attendance history; Supervisory experience is preferred.</span></p><p><span><strong>Certifications:&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span>Must have or be able to obtain (within 6 months of being hired) a valid Class \"B\" Commercial Driver's License with air brake and passenger endorsements, and have, or obtain (within 6 months of being hired) a DOT card.</span></p><p><span><strong>Proficiencies:</strong></span></p><p><span>Must have knowledge of the service area, particularly routes that originate from this facility.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>Must demonstrate intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.</span></p><p><span>Must possess and demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills: good written and verbal communication skills.</span></p><p><span>Ability to maintain professional composure when confronted with difficult situations; and make quick and accurate decisions.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>Must be able to handle confidential and/or sensitive information in a professional manner.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></span></p><p><span>This role requires sitting for extended periods, typing on a computer, and attending meetings.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></span></p><p><span>This position is based in an office environment, with standard office equipment, including a computer, telephone, and desk workspace.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span>Based on business needs, employees may be required to operate a bus in all weather conditions and may be exposed to inclement weather.&nbsp;</span></p><p><span><strong>This position is not eligible for a hybrid or remote work schedule.</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>Salary:</strong></span></p><p><span><strong>Full Salary Range:</strong>&nbsp;$56,523-123,507</span></p><p><span><strong>Midpoint:</strong>&nbsp;$90,015</span></p><p><span><strong>Starting Salary Range:</strong>&nbsp;$56,523-73,269</span></p><p><span><strong>Pace provides full pay ranges so candidates can consider their growth potential.&nbsp;</strong></span></p>",
