The <strong>4th Class Building Operator</strong> is responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled tasks to maintain a 24/7 facilities operation. Responsibilities include maintaining the mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, building envelope, landscaping, fire monitoring systems&nbsp;</p><p style=\"line-height: 12pt;\">&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Where We Work and Live:</strong></p><p>ATCO Frontec provides preventative and corrective maintenance services for our customers throughout Yellowknife and the surrounding areas. Our maintenance teams are mobile, and travel to other sites may be required – Inuvik, Whitehorse, Rankin Inlet, Iqaluit.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Work on tasks as assigned by the Site Superintendent with limited supervision.</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Conduct timely maintenance services and quality repair of equipment</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Routine handyman duties; working with HVAC Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing&nbsp;(e.g. plunge toilets and unclog drains) and minor Carpentry.</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Ensuring all building equipment is in good running order and relevant certifications are up to date.</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Conduct daily facility walkthroughs of assigned portfolio and correct deficiencies.</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Maintain daily equipment and meter reading logs where required.&nbsp;</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Respond to emergency requirements; Available for emergency call out duty during afterhours and on weekends on a rotating basis.</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Conduct detailed inspections to ensure that scheduled and periodic maintenance of building and equipment have been completed.</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Active participation in Preventative Maintenance program including unscheduled repairs.</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Use CMMS for processing Corrective and Preventative Maintenance requests in conjunction with site superintendent and maintenance administrator personnel.&nbsp;</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Prioritize activities to complete work as scheduled and in a timely manner.</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Follow safe work practices and ensure work is performed in accordance with work standards.</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Maintain all service tools and equipment in good working condition and arrange for repair or&nbsp;replacement as required.</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Others duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc; padding-left: 48px;\"><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 12pt;\">Minimum 4th Class Power Engineer Certification, preferably with experience with Biomass Boiler Systems and/or Heating Oil, Minimum 5 years’ experience is required.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 12pt;\">Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and clean drivers abstract is required.</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Must be able to pass a Drug &amp; Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check.&nbsp;</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\">Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance.&nbsp;</li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 12pt;\">Professional communication skills, oral, and written&nbsp;</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 12pt;\">Ability to prioritize and multitask&nbsp;</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 12pt;\">Work well under pressure</p></li><li class=\"ortl-align-justify\"><p style=\"line-height: 12pt;\">Effectively solve problems</p></li></ul><p style=\"line-height: 12pt;\">&nbsp;</p><p>This position has been identified as safety sensitive and will require completion of a pre-employment alcohol &amp; drug test, fit to work medical test.&nbsp;</p><p>We would like to thank everyone for their application; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Who We Are:</strong></p><p>ATCO Frontec is a market leader providing facilities management, camp services, workforce lodging solutions, operational support services and disaster and emergency management for a diverse range of clients.
