You will be tasked with shaping and executing the strategic initiatives necessary for driving growth and stability within the transportation team. This role demands a visionary leader with extensive experience in transportation engineering, client engagement, and strategic planning.</div><ul><li><!--block-->Develop transportation strategy by collaborating with the executive team to outline and execute the firm's transportation plan, ensuring alignment with organizational values and mission.</li><li><!--block-->Lead the development of comprehensive strategies for advancing transportation projects and services.</li><li><!--block-->Accountable for client engagement and relationship building by<strong> </strong>establishing and fostering strong relationships with local agencies; both existing clients and potential target clients, to understand their transportation project needs and secure new opportunities.</li><li><!--block-->Serve as a liaison between our clients, our organization, and regulatory bodies like the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) to advance simple and complex transportation projects.</li><li><!--block-->Responsible for project leadership and management by overseeing the execution of transportation projects, ensuring that they meet client expectations, industry standards, and internal quality benchmarks.</li><li><!--block-->Play a key role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing the transportation design team.</li><li><!--block-->Perform financial oversight by monitoring project budgets, resources, and financial performance to ensure the successful and profitable completion of transportation projects.</li><li><!--block-->Contribute to financial planning for the transportation department and assess project feasibility.</li><li><!--block-->Act as the primary point of contact for transportation projects, facilitating clear and effective communication between clients, project teams, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders.</li><li><!--block-->Develop new clients and maintain existing clients by establishing a personal working relationship with key decision makers and influencers based on Fehr Graham core values.</li><li><!--block-->Develop and maintain a high-level understanding of transportation engineering technology trends and advancements.</li><li><!--block-->Attend meetings, community, and industry events.&nbsp;</li><li><!--block-->Follow/research industry trends and communicate back to the team/knowledge sharing</li><li><!--block-->Maintains client confidentiality of all project work.&nbsp;</li><li><!--block-->Abides by Fehr Graham core values and works daily toward the mission of Fehr Graham</li><li><!--block-->Other duties assigned&nbsp;</li></ul><div><!--block--><strong>What you’ll get<br></strong>You’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow professionally at our progressive firm, which started in 1973.
