Our year-round dance program is hiring for Youth Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Poms, Adult Tap, Ballroom/Social dance and Somatic based conscious dance. Dance classes serve individuals age 2 to 90+ under the direction of the Supervisor of Performing Arts and Recreation.<br />\n <br />\n<strong>SCHEDULING: </strong>Mondays-Saturdays with flexible hours.<br />\n <br />\n<strong>TARGET HIRING RANGE: </strong>Competitive pay! $25.00/hour+, commensurate with qualifications and experience.<br />\n <br />\n<strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Degree from two- or four-year college or university with coursework in subject area being taught or supplemented by three (3) years teaching experience in dance</li>\n\t<li>Must have experience working with children for youth classes</li>\n\t<li>Strong communication skills</li>\n\t<li>Thorough knowledge of various dance techniques</li>\n\t<li>Must be 18 years or older </li>\n</ul>\n\n<p><br />\n<strong>RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong></p>\n\n<ul>\n\t<li>Actively participate in teaching/demonstrating dance movements.</li>\n\t<li>Present new ideas regarding curriculum and dance programming to supervisor.  </li>\n\t<li>Create and develop age appropriate curriculum for the classes.</li>\n\t<li>Prepare handouts for parents.</li>\n\t<li>Take daily attendance and manage classroom behavior.</li>\n\t<li>Choreograph and prepare participants for end of session shows and recitals as needed.</li>\n\t<li>Upon hire, complete certification in CPR/AED, mandated reporter, and anti-harassment.</li>\n\t<li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n\n<p> <br />\nIdeal teaching candidates will be dependable, creative, energetic, have a strong professional background in their artistic discipline and experience teaching children ages 3-18, plus adults.<br />\n <br />\n<strong>HOW TO APPLY</strong><br />\nVisit us at <a href=\"http://www.glenviewparks.org/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">www.GlenviewParks.org</a> – click on “Jobs” at the top of the page<br />\n <br />\n<strong>FOR MORE INFORMATION</strong><br />\nContact Lisa Aguilar at <a href=\"mailto:[email protected]\">[email protected]</a>.<br />\n <br />\n<em>If interested, please apply now!  Recruiting and interviewing will begin immediately.</em><br />\n<em>The Glenview Park District is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</em></p>",
