Pay Range: $70,100-$103,085 (annually) Position Summary The Temple Health Sciences Campus is searching for a motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven candidate with proven experience in cultivating, securing, and stewarding major gifts to join our high-achieving team as Director of Development (DOD) of the Temple Health Sciences Campus. The DOD will work collaboratively with development colleagues, as well as stakeholders at the Health Sciences Campus including the Dental, Pharmacy and Podiatry Schools and the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, to support the advancement of Temple Health’s mission of excellence in education, research, and patient care, with an emphasis on raising funds for education. Reporting to the Assistant Vice President, Health Sciences Campus, the DOD is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects with the ability to make gifts of $50,000 or more.For a dedicated fundraising professional looking to have an impact, the DOD position offers an exceptional opportunity to make a difference – join us! Required Education and Experience Bachelor's degree and at least six (6) years of fundraising experience in a clinical/healthcare or higher-ed setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required skills and abilities: ·Knowledge of, and experience with, both the art and science of major gift fundraising ·Demonstrated ability to raise and close major gifts (including current use, endowed, and estate gifts) ·Proven ability to engage and interact effectively with diverse constituents and serve as a charismatic ambassador ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to express information, including funding needs and giving opportunities ·Demonstrated interpersonal skills and success with developing and sustaining relationships with key constituents ·Proven ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively, as appropriate ·Conversational knowledge of basic planned/estate gift vehicles and concepts ·Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion ·Attention to detail and ability to balance multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment ·Commitment to professional development, learning, and being mentored ·Strong work ethic and determination to achieve goals ·Capability with Microsoft 365, as well as Banner, FPM (Blackbaud), or similar CRM/fundraising databases ·Ability to travel and work evening/weekend hours, as needed Preferred Experience: ·CFRE, PlusDelta, or other formal major gift fundraising training completed ·Experience in an academic and/or medical advancement setting ·Experience working in campaigns This position requires a background check.
