We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members.  </li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family.   </li>\n</ul>\n<p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.   </p>\n<p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience. </p>\n<p>Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Assess patient needs in the prehospital setting, provide appropriate medical care, and adapt treatment plans based on condition changes. </li>\n <li>Deliver highquality care within EMS scope of practice, including medication administration, airway management, IV/IO access, ECG interpretation, and ventilator assistance </li>\n <li>Safely transport patients between hospitals, emergency scenes, and healthcare facilities while ensuring continuous monitoring and accurate documentation </li>\n <li>Communicate clearly with dispatch, medical control, receiving facilities, and team members to support coordinated, multidisciplinary care </li>\n <li>Follow all safety, infectioncontrol, and aviation protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and crew </li>\n <li>Maintain equipment readiness by performing regular checks, restocking supplies, and ensuring transport units or aircraft are missionready </li>\n <li>Perform infacility duties aligned with EMS certification, including assisting with patient care, simulations, and qualityimprovement activities </li>\n <li>Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to maintain clinical competency and support highquality patient outcomes </li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Education:</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>High school diploma or equivalent is required </li>\n <li>Successful completion of EMS paramedic training from an approved training course is required </li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong>  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>At least three (3) years of experience as a paramedic is required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>License(s)/Certification(s):</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support & Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications required.</li>\n <li><p>Valid Iowa driver’s license for at least three years with an acceptable or clear rating according to the Motor Vehicle Record chart. Must have a minimum of two years driving experience with no record of DUI, DWI, or similar alcohol or drug related offenses over the past five years. No record of reckless driving, careless driving, speeding over 15 miles above the speed limit, fleeing or eluding a police officer, chemical test refusal, leaving the scene of an accident, driving after revocation or suspension, or passing a stopped school bus in the last five years.</p></li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English, basic computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Apply Today!!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li> </li>\n</ul>",
