This role provides direct oversight of labor, materials, equipment, safety, quality, and productivity for self-perform work, ensuring execution aligns with project schedules, budgets, and contract requirements. The Self-Perform Manager partners closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and the Senior Field Operations Manager to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality construction outcomes. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Key Responsibilities </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and manage self-perform construction activities from planning through completion, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and specifications </li>\n<li>Direct and coordinate self-perform labor, materials, and field activities to maximize productivity, efficiency, and cost control </li>\n<li>Champion jobsite safety by enforcing safety programs, conducting field observations, and ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards </li>\n<li>Monitor labor production, costs, and schedules for self-performed work, proactively identifying issues and implementing corrective actions </li>\n<li>Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other stakeholders to support overall project objectives and sequencing </li>\n<li>Implement and enforce quality control standards for self-perform work, including inspections and resolution of deficiencies </li>\n<li>Mentor, supervise, and develop self-perform field staff, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and safety-focused culture </li>\n<li>Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices to enhance self-perform operations </li>\n<li>Support project closeout activities related to self-perform work, including documentation and punch list completion </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential Skills &amp; Competencies</span> </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong leadership and team development capabilities </li>\n<li>Excellent communication and collaboration skills </li>\n<li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment </li>\n<li>High level of organization and attention to detail </li>\n<li>Proactive problem-solving and decision-making skills </li>\n<li>Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical construction practices </li>\n<li>Ability to lead crews in high-heat and remote island environments </li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Required Qualifications </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience </li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction in a self-perform leadership role (e.g., Self-Perform Manager, Superintendent, or Construction Supervisor) </li>\n<li>Hands-on experience with self-perform construction trades </li>\n<li>Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, and specifications </li>\n<li>Working knowledge of construction scheduling, labor production tracking, and cost reporting </li>\n<li>OSHA 10</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Preferred Experience </span>(includes, but is not limited to): </p>\n<ul>\n<li>OSHA 30 certification </li>\n<li>Experience using construction management software such as Procore and HH2 </li>\n<li>Experience supporting large or complex commercial construction projects </li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing field leadership staff </li>\n<li>Spanish language proficiency </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Physical Demands &amp; Work Environment </span></p>\n<p>The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this job. </p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to work outdoors in varying Caribbean weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and sun exposure </li>\n<li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work on uneven terrain for extended periods </li>\n<li>Ability to navigate active construction sites with changing ground conditions and elevations </li>\n<li>Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull tools, materials, and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds </li>\n<li>Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and other access equipment as required </li>\n<li>Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) </li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation &amp; Benefits  </span></p>\n<p>The base salary for this position is one component of J. Benton Construction’s total compensation package. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s skills, experience, education, relevant qualifications, internal equity, and business needs. </p>\n<p>J.
