This position will perform tier-2 escalation support and must possess experience in the operations and support of large-scale LAN/WAN systems.</p><p><br></p><p>III.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (describes the duties and responsibilities for a successful job performance).</p><p>a.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Tier-2 escalation support</p><p>b.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Hands-on technical support related to the overall health and maintenance of the network environments in support of 24/7 operations</p><p>c.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Support for network design and configuration tasks</p><p>d.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Initial support for the design and implementation of the datacenter networks with continued support into 24x7 operations</p><p>e.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Operations support of the datacenter networks to include WAN/LAN troubleshooting, network security, routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, and servers</p><p>f.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Daily monitoring of overall network health and status, to include the identification and troubleshooting of network performance and/or capacity issues across multiple security domains</p><p>g.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Working with other support personnel, as well as entity support personnel to isolate network anomalies and identify a corrective action plan prior to impacting operational availability</p><p>h.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Network analysis to ensure networks meet or exceed design requirements, perform trend analysis to identify potential problems, and review available throughput levels</p><p>i.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Plan and execute the installation and configuration of network changes&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>IV.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (These are the traditional minimum, or required, bona-fide occupational qualifications and other requirements of most people in this job).</p><p>a.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Associate&rsquo;s Degree in a computer science or related field OR equivalent experience</p><p>b.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Two plus year in related Computer Science or related field</p><p>c.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Two plus years in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)</p><p><br></p><p>V.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (These are needed to perform essential functions of the position).</p><p>a.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>MCSE/MCITP Certification or equivalent knowledge&nbsp;</p><p>b.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Security+ Certification</p><p>c.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Minimum five years of experience that includes network operational support, hands-on implementation and configuration of network devices such as servers, switches, routers, firewalls, NICs, associated software tools and desktop computers in a LAN/WAN environment.&nbsp;</p><p>d.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Knowledgeable of MS Windows Server, MS Exchange, MS Office products, VMware, &nbsp;PC hardware and terminology.&nbsp;</p><p>e.<span style=\"white-space:pre;\">&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;</span>Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
