With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world’s most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>Role description:</strong></p>\n<p>Arcadis is seeking an Instrumentation &amp; Controls (I&amp;C) System Design Engineer to join our Resilience Water team in any of our Ohio locations or Detroit.&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>This is an exciting opportunity for an I&amp;C Systems Design Engineer, preferably with consulting engineering experience, to join our team and lead projects with a variety of I&amp;C, automation system design, and SCADA integration. The selected candidate will be responsible for I&amp;C and SCADA design and implementation services for diverse clients and projects for environmental remediation, industrial &amp; municipal water and wastewater treatment, conveyance systems, and facilities.</p>\n<p><strong>Role accountabilities:</strong></p>\n<p>This role provides engineering and design services to produce design &amp; construction documents for projects. &nbsp;They will coordinate with process, mechanical, and electrical engineers assigned to the project and prepare technical memorandums and develop design criteria, SCADA system architecture, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&amp;IDs), SCADA network diagrams, process control functional narratives, control schematics, panel layout diagrams, and interconnection diagrams.</p>\n<p>Additional duties include:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support projects and clients in the planning, design and construction of water/wastewater facilities and other similar industrial facilities, serving as Arcadis’ main point of contact with our clients for their I&amp;C needs.</li>\n <li>Project Manager leading all facets of project, to include; budgeting, planning, cost estimating, design and execution of SCADA and instrumentation &amp; control systems.</li>\n <li>Support electrical engineering and developing electrical design to support the I&amp;C systems design. &nbsp;Conduct factory testing, site acceptance testing, field checkout, and startup of I&amp;C and SCADA system startups. &nbsp;Utilize technical experience and expertise in the execution of I&amp;C and SCADA projects from inception to successful startup and turnover.</li>\n <li>Program process control logic in PLCs and configure graphical HMI for SCADA system on a variety of platforms. &nbsp;Configure historical data collection, archiving and generating reports on a variety of platforms. &nbsp;Produce effective and accurate written specifications for implementing I&amp;C and SCADA projects.</li>\n <li>Mentor junior engineers and designers.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Environmental Engineering or a closely related field of study</li>\n <li>5+ years of I&amp;C, Automation, and SCADA system design and implementation experience in water/wastewater market.</li>\n <li>EIT/Professional Engineer license.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Skills and Attributes</strong>:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Basic knowledge of Autocad and&nbsp;Revit. &nbsp; Ability to self-direct and work on multiple assignments at once while meeting project deliverable dates and completing other task-driven assignments</li>\n <li>Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, as well as excellent teamwork skills. Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, MS Project, and Outlook)</li>\n <li>Advance knowledge in applying instrumentation and controls to process and electromechanical equipment and developing SCADA networks. &nbsp;Knowledge of designing and developing fiber optic cable networks for SCADA systems. &nbsp;Advance knowledge of radio and cellular telemetry networks. &nbsp;Basic knowledge of IT and industrial networks.</li>\n <li>Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
