    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking our next <strong>Systems Support Specialist III personnel!!!</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking Systems Support Specialist personnel (Specialist and Lead roles), staffed by ASC, to support the <strong>NISSC 3 program at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska.</strong> These positions deliver technical and operational support for multiple mission systems by providing onsite and oncall coverage for system administration, troubleshooting, maintenance, and user support in a TS/SCI environment. The Systems Support Specialists will help ensure operational readiness, data integrity, and effective coordination with program leadership and stakeholders.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>• Deliver onsite and on call technical and operational support for mission systems at Offutt AFB, including system administration, monitoring, and health checks. • Perform troubleshooting and corrective actions for hardware, software, network, and system performance issues impacting mission operations. • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including applying patches, updates, configuration changes, and performance tuning. • Provide firstline user support and training for system access, basic operations, and issue resolution. • Collect, maintain, and update operational logs, incident and deficiency reports, and checklists in accordance with program and security standards. • Perform incident response, including initial triage, escalation, coordination with highertier support, and closure documentation. • Execute backup and restore operations to ensure data integrity, availability, and continuity of operations. • Support system administration and database support activities as needed to maintain operational environments. • Oversee procedural compliance and ensure all records, logs, and reports meet required operational, security, and audit standards. • Act as a technical resource for performance optimization, data integrity, continuity of operations, and support of management status reporting. • For Lead roles, direct daytoday task execution, assist with resource allocation, monitor progress and quality of work, and mentor junior personnel.</p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p>• <strong>7–10 years of relevant experience in systems or network administration, systems support, or similar technical roles in secure, mission critical (DoD or similar) environments.</strong> • Strong leadership capabilities in directing project/task execution across domains such as maintenance, integration, and data management. • Experience in resource allocation, monitoring progress, and ensuring quality deliverables to drive task success. • Demonstrated ability to resolve operational issues and provide precise, timely status updates to management and stakeholders. • Experience managing schedules and aligning tasks with program objectives to support integrated operations across functional domains. • Strong documentation skills for logs, incident reports, configuration records, and technical documentation.</p>\n<p><strong>• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, </strong><strong>OR Equivalent DoD/Military training in systems administration, network operations, or a related technical discipline. </strong></p>\n<p><strong>• Minimum: Active TS/SCI clearance required to start. </strong></p>\n<p><strong>• Holds a DoD 8140 qualifying certification; one or more of the following (or equivalent) is required/preferred:</strong> – Cloud+ – GSEC – Security+ – SSCP</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Notice of Anticipated Employment Opportunities</strong><strong>These positions are being posted in anticipation of future employment opportunities, which may become available beginning around June 2026.
