Description
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer within our US Marine Corps engineering group. This position supports the US Marine Corps Expeditionary Forces, and their fleet of MQ-9 aircraft. This engineer leads engineering activities, including managing software sustainment releases, performing trade studies for configuration improvements, and supporting field troubleshooting efforts. This engineer provides technical reach-back support, interfacing daily with customer entities, with occasional travel to domestic and overseas sites.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Represents GA-ASI to USMC customers will be the primary focal point for real time technical support, to ensure mission readiness of GA aircraft systems. Manage sustainment of deployed aircraft and ground systems, leading on-site maintenance and troubleshooting activities. Supports information requests from partners, including customer engineering and executive leadership. Contributes to technical trade studies that feed into long range planning of system configuration, and technology roadmap. Interfaces with GA functional engineering teams in support of technical investigations. Produces engineering estimates to support new business creation activities. Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
