Overview
The Central Health CHW Apprenticeship Program is a unique "earn and learn" opportunity for individuals seeking to become Certified Community Health Workers (CHWs) in Travis County.
As a full-time Central Health employee, apprentices (or trainees) will receive hourly pay, benefits, and hands-on training while completing the coursework required for CHW certification as required by the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

The apprentice will provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of a Central Health CHW senior staff member during the externship experience.
