We have an exciting opportunity for you!&nbsp;</p><p>Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Underground Engineer II or III to join our team. <span>The successful candidate will be safety driven, technically proficient and capable of working with and communicating effectively with fellow engineers, operations personnel, surveyors, production geologists, mill metallurgists, and other stakeholders.&nbsp;</span></p><p>At Nevada Gold Mines, our vision is to be the world’s most valued gold mining business by finding, developing, and operating the best assets with the best people. We are committed to a safe work environment sending every person home safe and healthy every day and leaving a sustainable legacy on our host communities.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Production reporting of mine physicals, track site KPIs and evaluate opportunities for improvement</li><li>Accountable for the mine design and mine planning, both short and long range.</li><li>Complete regular audits of site to ensure compliance to standards and look for opportunities to improve efficiencies</li><li>Work closely with geology/exploration to plan and complete exploration and in-fill drilling in advance of mining, and complete mine-to-mill reconciliation</li><li>Responsible for the design and as-built layouts of all mine development and services for the Underground</li><li>Creation and monitoring of site forecasts and budgets</li><li>Provide focused review of site deliverables to ensure completeness, clarity and accuracy, preparation of presentations and reports as required</li><li>Coordinate with mine operations to ensure plan compliance and to minimize disruptions</li><li>Specific Mine Planning responsibilities depending on your role within the Mine Planning Team can be rolling Daily/1 week/6 weeks Plans, or 2-year Plans, or Life of Mine Plan</li><li>Duties in short-range planning, mid-range planning, long-range planning, dump planning, road design, dispatch engineering, drill &amp; blast engineering, reclamation design, permitting engineering support, capital project justification and oversight and/or other engineering projects as required</li><li>Mine Plans and other engineering product must be technically correct, completed on time and effectively communicated to hourly crews, foremen, operations superintendents, mill metallurgists, engineering superintendents, managers and the general manager</li><li>Complete Mine Plans to facilitate safely meeting metal recovered goals optimizing net value in an environmentally sound manner</li><li>Lead mine planning working meetings, and Mine Plan presentations to customers</li><li>Thorough practical understanding of underground mine operations to ensure mine plan concepts are safe and realistic</li><li>Preform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent <strong>required&nbsp;</strong></li><li>3+ years of post-education mining engineering experience at a site <strong>preferred</strong></li><li>Demonstrated understanding of engineering theories and principles and a demonstrated knowledge of US engineering standards and mining regulations <strong>required&nbsp;</strong></li><li>Strong presentation and verbal skills.
