As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you&#39;ll join a collaborative, cross-functional team working to enhance and expand our AI-driven contract management platform. You&#39;ll work closely with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers to help deliver scalable, user-centric solutions that transform how legal and business teams manage their contracts.</p><p></p><p>Your technical contributions and team-first mindset will play a key role in delivering high-impact products that scale our AI capabilities and help global organizations simplify complex business processes.</p><p></p><p><b>You will:</b></p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, and design teams to build and evolve our vision, strategy, and roadmap</p></li><li><p>Participate in a supportive, iterative team culture that values curiosity, learning, and strong engineering practices</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the growth and success of your teammates through knowledge sharing and mentorship</p></li><li><p>Take ownership of multiple functional areas in our platform — from development to production (“you build it, you run it”)</p></li><li><p>API Development: Design and build high-performance back-end services using Python to facilitate communication between microservices</p></li><li><p>Actively monitor and optimize code to ensure platform performance</p></li><li><p>Implement comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies to ensure the health and performance of all integrations and back-end services</p></li></ul><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><b>About You</b></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><div><p><b>Basic Qualifications</b></p></div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><div><ul><li><p>8&#43; years of experience in software engineering</p></li><li><p>5&#43; years experience with a web development framework (Python/Typescript preferred: Flask, NestJS, Express, Django, or FastAPI)</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Other Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience in ownership of designing, building and operating of SaaS products in cloud environments (AWS preferred)</p></li><li><p>Experience with a Relational DB (PostgreSQL preferred)</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with LLMs and Agent development</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with the tradeoffs and architecture of modern distributed systems and event-driven architectures</p></li><li><p>Knowledge of software development best practices (DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability)</p></li><li><p>Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Elasticsearch or other document stores</p></li><li><p>Experience with observability tools like Sentry and Grafana, building and monitoring dashboards</p></li><li><p>Experience with designing high performance and scalable APIs with backwards compatibility</p></li><li><p>Proven success working within fast-paced, agile environments and cross-functional teams</p></li><li><p>Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical partners</p></li><li><p>Comfortable working with ambiguity and translating complex problems into clear, thoughtful solutions</p></li><li><p>Committed to fostering an inclusive, team-oriented environment and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement</p></li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p style=\"text-align:left\"><br /><b>Workday Pay Transparency Statement</b></p><p style=\"text-align:inherit\"></p><p style=\"text-align:left\"><span>Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.
