    "description": "<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>Peraton is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer. The Network Engineer will Design plans network communications systems. Provides documentation for network architecture. Conducts testing of network design. Responsible for monitoring network hardware operations to ensure properly set configuration options. Plans implementation of enhancements and upgrades to the network. Advises network users of hardware requirements, configurations, and limitations. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, firewalls, switches, and sensors. Troubleshoots network issues and provides recommended solutions to government leadership for approval. Uses change management processes to ensure modifications to network configs are approved prior to implementation. Leads and advises more junior network engineers on the team.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Implementation and Deployment – Oversee the deployment of new infrastructure systems and make changes to existing infrastructure</li>\n <li>Add/Remove/Modify firewall rules on Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto devices</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot network issues in a multi-site and enterprise environment</li>\n <li>Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP</li>\n <li>Perform code upgrades on network infrastructure</li>\n <li>Incident Management – Monitor infrastructure performance and health, respond to and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and outages</li>\n <li>Ensure proper configuration management of network configuration items</li>\n <li>Participate in organization meetings, town halls, and similar events to integrate into the organization structure</li>\n <li>Operate and maintain Big IP F5 partition to include architecture, configuration, and ongoing operational support</li>\n <li>Be familiar with Department of Defense network security requirements and be able to engineer, configure, and operate enterprise security appliances such as firewalls, WAF appliances, and load balancers to support the connectivity of distributed enterprise applications and application load balancing requirements across the enterprise</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>8 years with BS/BA; 6 years with MS/MA; 3 years with PhD. 12 years with HS diploma</li>\n <li>Must be a US Citizen</li>\n <li>Must have active Secret clearance</li>\n <li>Must have 8570 Certification - Security +</li>\n <li>Experience with Cisco ACI</li>\n <li>Experience with network infrastructure</li>\n <li>Experience with the configuration and operation of Cisco and Juniper switching and routing infrastructure</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Peraton Overview</h2>\n<p>Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
