As part of our dynamic team, you can lead the way, as we continue our journey towards high reliability care!</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Right now we are looking for a <strong> Registered Nurse </strong>to join our <strong>Mother Baby Unit</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Employment Status: P</strong>art-time <strong>Reporting Relationship: </strong>Manager, Mother Baby Unit<strong>Hiring Salary Range:</strong> $41.15-$58.98<strong>Location: </strong> Wilson Site<strong>Hours of work: </strong>Must be able to work 8 and 12 hour rotating shifts.  Days, Nights, Evenings and Weekends<strong>Union:  ONAPosition Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>RN responsibilities, with a focus on assessment and total patient care of antepartum and postpartum women as well as new born infants.</li>\n <li>Patient and family education and support.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Current RN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.</li>\n <li>BCLS/CPR certification upon hire to show proof of valid current certification (Registered Nurses currently employed by HRH are exempted).</li>\n <li>Current NRP certificate required or agreement to obtain within 3 months of commencement into position.</li>\n <li>Previous experience with antepartum and postpartum women as well as new born infants.</li>\n <li>Proficiency in initiating IV therapy in infants and adults an asset.</li>\n <li>Good patient /family teaching skills required.</li>\n <li>Obstetrical Nursing Certificate an asset.  Breastfeeding Certificate an asset.</li>\n <li>Recent postpartum and new born care experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Bereavement/palliative nursing care skills an asset. Ability to facilitate and promote family centered care.</li>\n <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required with an ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team as well as with parents and families from a diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. </li>\n <li>Good organizational skills required, with an ability to be flexible and work effectively in a busy environment with changing priorities.</li>\n <li>Willingness to be cross-trained to one other area within the Women’s & Children’s Health Program.</li>\n <li>Willingness to rotate to other departments as required.</li>\n <li>Second language an asset.</li>\n <li><p>Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.</p></li>\n <li><p>An understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
