From our field service engineers who minimize customer downtime, to our manufacturing engineers who ensure optimal performance of our laboratories and equipment, we strive for excellence.</p>\n<p>Our Field Service Engineers are crucial in delivering top-notch customer service, expertly repairing and maintaining our products on-site.</p>\n<p>We are looking for a talented and skilled <strong>Field Service Engineer </strong>to join our <strong>Diagnostics</strong>&nbsp;division servicing our molecular diagnostic and cytology equipment across the <strong>Spokane, Washington</strong>&nbsp;area.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<p>The incumbent may be asked to perform other function-related activities in addition to the below mentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Conducts advanced troubleshooting to repair, test and qualify instruments located at assigned territory sites.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Provides 24/7 coverage to customers within 24 hours of notification.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Schedules and manages preventive maintenance and unscheduled visits to instrument sites.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Determines correct inventory levels of repair parts with supply lines.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Documents repair/ resolution of customer calls in CRM system and escalates issues to management as needed.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Works with Product Application Engineers to resolve quality issues and advise of issues and developments.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Keep management advised of issues and developments.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ensure instrumentation is in compliance with regulatory requirements and quality control standards.:&nbsp;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:&nbsp;</strong></p>\n<p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the basic knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to meet customer credentialing requirements</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of chemistry principles and chemical handling techniques.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Understanding of proper use and operation of electronic testing equipment.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Knowledge of inventory and procurement systems.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Ability to interface with internal and/or external customers.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Solid computer skills.&nbsp;</li>\n <li>Time Management Skills</li>\n <li>Strong robotics, fluidics and pneumatics experience preferred.</li>\n <li>Ability to pass a comprehensive background check.</li>\n <li>Possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain a clean driving record.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education: &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong> &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred.</li>\n <li>AA/AS degree and/or practical Military experience considered.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Experience:</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>\n<ul>\n <li>2 - 5 years related field experience with direct customer interaction, preferably in a laboratory setting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Additional Details:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>This person will work out of a home based office</li>\n <li>Position will require 75% plus travel</li>\n <li>There will be on-call duties</li>\n <li>Overnight stays could be 3 to 4 nights a week</li>\n <li><strong>Candidate must be within 60 minutes of Spokane International Airport&nbsp;</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>&nbsp;</p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\"><strong>So why join Hologic?</strong></p>\n<p style=\"margin-left:0in\">We are committed to making Hologic the company where top talent comes to grow.
