Reporting to the Manager, Provincial Contracting, this position requires a highly organized and collaborative professional who can manage complex procurement initiatives, ensure compliance with public sector policies and trade agreements, and effectively coordinate stakeholders to achieve timely, well-informed contracting outcomes.</p><p><strong>What You'll Do</strong></p><p><br>Reporting to the Manager, Provincial Contracting, the Specialist is expected to:</p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Lead and facilitate competitive bidding project in collaboration with our health system partners.</li><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Ensure compliance with organization policies and trade agreements</li><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders</li><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Generate reports, contract management, and analyze information in various forms and complexity</li><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Provide project planning; coordinate and facilitate meetings, implement procurement projects, coordinate and communicate outcomes;</li><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Coordinate and prepare information and documentation required to complete the competitive bidding process, including development of product data, survey documents, competitive bidding documents, contract awards, negotiations, and all other documents as required</li><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Lead the evaluation proposal process, make recommendations to appropriate provincial committees, and facilitate decisions and outcomes, to assist our health system partners in making decisions regarding provincial contracts.</li><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Facilitate and set up committees/subcommittees made up of subject matter experts to develop specifications for medical instruments, devices, and other products.<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What You Bring</strong></p><p><strong>Education &amp; Certifications:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Degree in Business Administration with emphasis on project planning, purchasing and/or supply chain management, supplemented by a combination of relevant education and/or experience.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Experience:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li>Three years progressively responsible experience in a health care materials management environment, or five years in another suitable procurement environment, supplemented with a recognized purchasing designation such as a Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation, or Certified Public Purchasing Buyer (CPPB) designation</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Skills &amp; Competencies:</strong></p><ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\"><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite and related software, with the ability to learn all relevant purchasing programs.</li><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Experience and knowledge of competitive bidding processes in a public sector environment</li><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Understanding of procurement law in the public sector</li><li style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Knowledge of lean processes would be considered an asset<br>&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>What We Offer&nbsp;</strong></p><p>At 3sHealth, we value our culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and we are honored to have been named one of Saskatchewan’s Top Employers for ten consecutive years.
