    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Hexagon's Autonomous Solutions division is hiring a<strong> Legal and Compliance Counsel</strong>.<strong> Reporting to our US legal and compliance practice leader</strong>, you will draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts and be responsible for legal compliance initiatives and ad-hoc projects. You are passionate about providing insightful, thorough, focused, and risk-based legal guidance. Your stakeholders rely on you as a trusted advisor to provide timely, pragmatic, business-oriented solutions as you effectively manage legal risk. With a focus on delivering exceptional results, your positivity, confidence, articulate communication, strong relationship building, and solid business acumen will support and complement our global team. </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>The Location:</strong> Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position can be based in Morton<strong>, IL</strong> or Tucson<strong>, AZ</strong>.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>As <strong>Senior Legal and Compliance Counsel, </strong>you will be responsible for these activities:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Provide authoritative and comprehensive legal services meeting the commercial and strategic needs of the business</li>\n <li>Advise on legal risks and mitigation strategies, and supporting good governance through appropriate discussion and escalation of issues</li>\n <li>Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts and government procurement transactions, including customer and supplier agreements, distribution agreements, intellectual property licenses, non-disclosure agreements, development agreements, and real estate leases</li>\n <li>Maintain company registers, drafting resolutions and board minutes</li>\n <li>Develop and deliver legal and compliance training across the organization</li>\n <li>Help maintain and develop policies, standards and checklists</li>\n <li>Identify and analyze new legislation and proactively proposing and implementing solutions</li>\n <li>Participate in cross-functional project teams and committees</li>\n <li>Ethics and Compliance Programs: Developing and overseeing ethics and compliance programs to promote a culture of integrity and ethical conduct within the organization. Conducting internal investigations into allegations of misconduct and taking appropriate remedial action when necessary.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>Must Have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>An LLB or JD from an accredited university and a license to practice in your governing jurisdiction</li>\n <li>At least 10<strong>-</strong>15 years of corporate commercial experience gained in-house or at a top-tier law firm.</li>\n <li>Expertise in dealing with international corporate, commercial and technology development contracts</li>\n <li>Track record of delivering results and pragmatic, risk-based legal advice</li>\n <li>Superb accuracy and attention to detail</li>\n <li>Exceptional time management and organization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment</li>\n <li>Ability to impact and influence both internal and external stakeholders and provide exceptional customer service</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Nice To Have:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Experience in the mining industry</li>\n <li>Expertise in intellectual property licensing</li>\n <li>Certification in data privacy</li>\n <li>Familiarity with project management principles</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Not sure if you meet all the qualifications for this role?
