The Skilled General Maintenance II worker will perform general construction, project work, minor, intermediate, and major maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities throughout the ATSU Kirksville campus in areas that include but are not limited to classrooms, administrative offices, research labs, patient care, mechanical rooms, roofs, student housing, athletic and outdoor areas.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Duties &amp; Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong></p><ul><li>Utilize advanced skills and experience to troubleshoot simple and complex issues with building systems including but not limited to electrical, plumbing, mechanical, roofing, masonry, painting, carpentry and locksmithing in support of university daily operations.</li><li>Respond to service requests from building occupants in a respectful and timely manner, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.</li><li>Work independently and/or on a team to layout projects, repairs, and maintenance efficiently to complete work assignments.</li><li>Perform routine and emergency repairs, maintenance, and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing building systems.</li><li>Conduct root cause analysis on routing and complex issues with building systems. Determine appropriate course of action to perform necessary repairs while ensuring minimal impact on students, patients, faculty, and staff.</li><li>Respond to service requests from building occupants in a respectful and timely manner, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.&nbsp;</li><li>Perform general and complex construction tasks for project work.</li><li>Perform electronic record keeping related to work requests.</li><li>Operate university vehicles and responsible for safe operation and reporting any observed maintenance needs.</li><li>Determine materials and equipment needed to complete construction, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
