The Lavatory Design Engineer will support design and development of engineering packages based on customer and OEM requirements for production, retrofit applications and product development.</span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\"><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\"><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities&nbsp;</strong><em>include the following with other duties as assigned:</em></span></p><ul type=\"disc\"><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Design of commercial aircraft lavatories, including lavatory structures and mechanical systems (air, water, waste).&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Modification of existing lavatories, including lavatory interior design changes and exterior modifications and provisioning.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Create 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Ensure designs comply with applicable FAA, EASA, and customer-specific requirements</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Support structural, flammability, safety, and certification activities</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Collaborate with cross-functional teams including stress, manufacturing, certification, quality, supply chain, and program management.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Research and evaluate existing lavatory designs.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Participate in design reviews and provide technical solutions to engineering challenges.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Support prototype development, testing, and qualification activities.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Resolve production and in-service issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Manage engineering changes, design updates, and configuration control processes.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on weight reduction, cost optimization, manufacturability, and passenger experience.&nbsp;</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Actively support engineering department goals and initiatives.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Utilize internal drawing/document standards per customer or regulatory agency requirements.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Some domestic or international travel may be required.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Provide mentoring and performance management input to Functional Manager.</li><li style=\"font-family: verdana, sans-serif; font-size: 11px;\">Perform engineering projects workscope review and project time estimates.
