We are seeking experienced Circuit Breaker Shop Technician.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Shermco Industries is seeking a Circuit Breaker Technician</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Work on low & medium voltage circuit breakers, including GE, Westinghouse, Powell, ABB, ITE, and many others. </li>\n <li>Occasionally travel overnight to jobs sites for onsite breaker testing and repair.</li>\n <li>Troubleshoot, rebuild, retrofit, test, and repair low, medium and high voltage switchgear to include the teardown and assembly of breakers, contactors and related switchgear and electrical apparatus, including:\n  <ul>\n   <li>High-voltage switchgear up to 3000A, SF-6 Vacuum Circuit Breakers ATS, 13.8kV, 60Hz and 11kV, 50H</li>\n   <li>Medium-voltage switchgear up to 3100A, Vacuum Circuit Breakers ATS, 15.5kV, 4.16kV, 60 Hz and 6/6kV, 50Hz</li>\n   <li>Low-voltage Switchgear up to 3000A, Air Circuit Breakers ATS, 480V, 60Hz and 400V, 50 Hz.</li>\n  </ul></li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Requires a High School Diploma or GED; prefer electro-mechanical training from trade school, apprenticeship or armed services.</li>\n <li>Previous experience with rebuilding, repairing, and retrofitting circuit breakers.</li>\n <li>480V to 15KV circuit breaker experience desired.</li>\n <li>PEARL breaker certification desirable.</li>\n <li>Prefer testing skills and understand fundamental electrical and mechanical testing procedures.</li>\n <li>Experience at an OEM breaker manufacturer a plus.</li>\n <li>Strong mechanical skills and experience desired such as industrial mechanical engines, pneumatics, hydraulics, or diesel equipment will be beneficial.</li>\n <li>Working knowledge of power systems, power circuit breakers and other switchgear apparatus desirable.</li>\n <li>Experience at correctly using tools and testing equipment including Megger, digital multimeter, Hi-Pot tester, Oil Dielectric strength tester, multiamps relay tester, primary & secondary injection set, cable fault detector, & oscilloscope desirable</li>\n <li>Prefer experience reading and interpreting schematics and wiring diagrams.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Other Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Must be able to stay Drug-Free; you will be required to pass a pre-employment hair follicle drug test and periodic, unannounced random drug tests.</li>\n <li>Must have an acceptable pre-employment criminal background check.</li>\n <li>All offers are conditioned on acceptable results from a background check and drug and alcohol screening.</li>\n <li>Must be physically fit to crawl, climb, stand, walk and lift up to 75 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodations.</li>\n <li>Must be able to pass a fit for duty physical exam.</li>\n <li>Must have a valid driver’s license, and currently have and be able to maintain a good driving record.</li>\n <li>Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime, and occasional weekends, holidays and nights.</li>\n <li>Must not currently or in the future require sponsorship to work in the U.S.</li>\n <li>Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.</li>\n <li>Must be willing to travel around 20% of the time</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n <li>#LI-AM1</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACE</strong></p>\n<p>Shermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
