Overview Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. The Fred Hutch Cancer Center GU Oncology team is looking for an APP (ARNP/PA-C) to provide evaluation and medical management of GU Oncology patients as part of the Fred Hutch Cancer Center. The incumbent will follow patients during their therapy and provide medical supportive care, as well as surveillance after completion of treatment. They will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate care of their patients. All clinical responsibilities are performed within the scope of practice, institutional privileges and under the supervision of an attending physician. Responsibilities Provide medical care, coordination of care, and follow-up for clinic patients in a collaborative, and/or independent fashion, while maintaining effective communication with their team Autonomously manage toxicity of treatment and/or underlying disease with physician consultation as needed Effectively communicate with Attending Physician, Nursing, Pharmacy, and other team members. Address EPIC inbox results, questions, refills, etc. in a timely manner Participates in the conduct of cancer clinical research, including patient, caregiver, and peer education Follow plan of care as outlined by the attending physician – i.e., ensure staging studies (imaging, labs, etc.) are ordered at the appropriate interval; ensure appropriate physician and/or APP follow up is arranged at agreed upon intervals. Precept learners of all disciplines (Fellows, PA, NP, etc) Participates in patient rounds, conferences and committees Active member of the Rapid Response team Qualifications Required: Strong team player with a can-do attitude is a must. The ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required. Washington state & DEA licensure required ACLS required within 3 months of start date Strong oral and written communication skills required. EMR experience required; prefer experience with EPIC Preferred: 1 year of ARNP or PA-C experience in Medical Oncology strongly preferred The annual base salary range for this position is from $126,984 to $200,678, and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.Although Fred Hutch is not sponsoring most H-1B visas at this time, candidates who already hold an H-1B sponsored by another organization and are currently in the U.S. may be eligible for this position.Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center offers employees a comprehensive benefits package designed to enhance health, well-being, and financial security.
