    "description": "<h2>Description</h2>\n<p>This position will offer you the opportunity to manage the execution of multiple transmission and distribution projects.  The position will involve coordinating with multiple internal and external departments to manage the life cycle of project execution.  </p>\n<ul>\n <li>Responsible for project execution, contract administration, planning and resource management.</li>\n <li>Take ownership for all aspects of project performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting and client experience through entire project lifecycle.</li>\n <li>Manage and direct the project team to ensure accountability.  Mentor and coach team members.</li>\n <li>Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with client functional leads and stakeholders.</li>\n <li>Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed safely, satisfactorily, on time, and within budget.</li>\n <li>Support the reporting of key performance indicators for schedule, budget and other dashboard items.</li>\n <li>Identify and control construction risk.</li>\n <li>Recognize, identify, track and control change.</li>\n <li>Communicate and consult with appropriate stakeholders and supervisors.</li>\n <li>Prepare reports that project information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements.</li>\n <li>Analyze issues and provide solutions to improve results.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>This position is based on a hybrid work schedule and will require in-office work 3 days per week, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days. </strong></p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>We do not sponsor employees for work authorization in Canada for this position.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>This position may require access to U.S. export-controlled information. As such, candidates must be a citizen of a country listed in Appendix A to Part 810 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Please click here to determine your eligibility.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Essential skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>BS degree from a Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board-accredited undergraduate program or a US based ABET-accredited program or a management/business degree.</li>\n <li>10 or more years of experience in the electric utility industry (engineering, construction, planning, etc.).</li>\n <li>7 or more years of experience specifically in Project Management of Utility Transmission projects.</li>\n <li>Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.</li>\n <li>Experience with serving as a firm/client liaison in a support or lead role.</li>\n <li>Ability to multitask and manage multiple competing priorities is critical to success.</li>\n <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills.</li>\n <li>Ability to work in a collaborative team setting.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Valued but not required skills and experience:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Engineering design experience is a plus.</li>\n <li>PMP Certification is a plus.</li>\n <li>Construction and start-up experience a plus.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Sargent and Lundy is fully committed to abiding by all equal opportunity employment standards.
