This position located in the North Country of New York, which is the Adirondack Mountains Region.&#160;</p><p>Gouverneur Hospital (GH) is a not-for-profit critical access hospital founded in 2013, and is certified for 25 beds. Services include inpatient detox, substance use disorder rehabilitation, emergency care, imaging and EKG&#8217;s, physical therapy, and respiratory therapy.&#160;<br><br>Delphi Healthcare offers:</p><ul><li><strong>W2 or 1099&#160;</strong></li><li><strong>Flexible schedule</strong></li><li><strong>12 hour shifts</strong></li><li><strong>Health, Dental, Vision</strong></li><li><strong>$25,000 FEA</strong></li><li><strong>Malpractice</strong></li></ul><p><u><strong>Responsibilities</strong></u></p><ul><li>Deliver comprehensive medical care to patients admitted to the rural hospital, managing acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and post-operative care.</li><li>&#160;Conduct regular hospital rounds to assess patient progress, make necessary treatment adjustments, and communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare team members.</li><li>&#160;Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the hospital, including admissions through the emergency department and critical care situations.</li><li>Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, including nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and specialists, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.</li></ul><br><br><br><u><strong>Qualifications</strong></u><ul><li>Hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.</li><li>&#160;Possess a valid New York state medical license and be board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or another relevant specialty.</li><li>&#160;Obtain and maintain admitting privileges at the rural hospital or healthcare facility where you practice.</li><li>Demonstrate proficiency in diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, with a strong foundation in internal medicine or family medicine.</li><li>&#160;Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and a diverse healthcare team.</li><li>Show the ability to work independently and handle a variety of medical cases commonly encountered in a rural healthcare setting.</li></ul><br>A rural Hospitalist provides a comprehensive overview of the responsibilities and qualifications expected of a physician working in a rural hospital setting.
