Next 150 Construction, a fully owned subsidiary of Gilbane Building Company is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator. The Project Safety Coordinator will administer the safety program and serves as safety advisor, ensuring safety compliance by the project team and all employees and subcontractors working at the site. This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings, meetings, etc.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Support all safety efforts on the project and promote the <em>Gilbane Cares</em> safety culture</li>\n <li>Ensure contractor activities are preplanned for safety through scope review, preconstruction meetings, JHA review, STAs, etc.</li>\n <li>Ensure contractors meet Gilbane safety submittal requirements</li>\n <li>Maintain all safety related documentation</li>\n <li>Ensure contractor compliance with Gilbane safety plan & expectations</li>\n <li>Make recommendations concerning situations hazardous to employee safety or health</li>\n <li>Utilize SafetyNet to Audit and monitor project team implementation of the Safety Plan</li>\n <li>Perform at least 15 SafetyNet inspections/month with at least 100 observations each inspection.</li>\n <li>Provide safety training to project teams on Gilbane, client and OSHA requirements</li>\n <li>Investigate all accidents/near misses and complete all paperwork required</li>\n <li>Ensure project teams have safety equipment and resources</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>BCSP credential</li>\n <li>1 year of relevant experience</li>\n <li>Or equivalent combination of education and experience</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Working knowledge of construction safety principles, techniques and methods</li>\n <li>Knowledge of OSHA laws, regulations and policies</li>\n <li>Capable of identifying known potential exposures and recommending corrective action</li>\n <li>Computer skills and familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite</li>\n <li>Basic written and verbal communication skills</li>\n <li>Interpersonal skills</li>\n</ul>\n<p><em>Next 150 Construction Services has an unwavering focus on safety, the environment and caring about everyone involved in our work. </em></p>\n<p><em>Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Next 150 Construction Services is not accepting unsolicited resumes from third party recruiters at this time.</em></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><em>Next 150 Construction Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
