    "description": "<h2>Subsidiary</h2>Steel Dynamics\n<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>This role is responsible for evaluation, development, coordination and leading of safety activities and implementing a comprehensive Safety, Health, and Loss Prevention Program.  This position also identifies and drives ongoing efforts to continuously improve overall safety performance.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Implement and maintain corporate safety policies and programs</li>\n <li>Provide direction, support, and resources to site managers and supervisors to achieve facility safety goals</li>\n <li>Conduct assessments, inspections and audits of worksite and facility</li>\n <li>Facilitate training on safety for new employees, visitors, and contractors</li>\n <li>Support accident investigations and address day-to-day safety related issues (questions, concerns, comments) from employees and contractors</li>\n <li>Evaluate and purchase appropriate safety-related equipment for employees</li>\n <li>Submits all required safety reports as necessary</li>\n <li>Other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li>Bachelor’s Degree in Safety Management or related discipline</li>\n <li>3+ years experience working in Safety or related area</li>\n <li>Completion of 30 Hour OSHA training</li>\n <li>Ability to travel and willing to work a flexible schedule – travel approx. 20%</li>\n <li>Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills</li>\n <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)</li>\n <li>Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong><em>Steel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers. </em></strong></p>",
