    "description": "<h2>Overview</h2>\n<p>Acadia Healthcare and Henry Ford Health System have partnered in a joint venture to develop, build, and operate a new, state-of-the-art, two-story, 192-bed behavioral health hospital. <strong>Henry Ford Behavioral Health Hospital</strong> expands access to high-quality psychiatric care and supports the growing mental health needs of the Greater Detroit Metro area.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>Located in <strong>West Bloomfield, Michigan</strong>, Henry Ford Behavioral Health Hospital is dedicated to delivering compassionate, evidence-based mental healthcare for adolescents, adults, and senior adults. Our modern facility is thoughtfully designed to support holistic healing, featuring contemporary amenities, six outdoor therapeutic spaces, and a calming environment that promotes recovery for both patients and staff.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>PURPOSE STATEMENT:</strong>This role plays a vital part in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for patients, visitors, and team members. This position is responsible for the care and upkeep of the hospital’s buildings, grounds, fixtures, and equipment, helping ensure our facility operates smoothly and supports high-quality behavioral health care. Responsibilities may include leadership and oversight across multiple areas such as safety, security, maintenance, facilities, materials management, and housekeeping.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>The Director of Facility Operations participates in a 24-hour on-call rotation, reflecting our 24/7 hospital environment. While the facility is always staffed on-site, the Director is expected to be available to provide guidance and support as needed, primarily by phone or email. On-site response is only required when necessary. This structure ensures continuous operational support while maintaining a balanced and sustainable leadership role.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<p>· Oversee general building maintenance including plumbing, carpentry, painting, roofing, minor repairs, and electrical work.</p>\n<p>· Ensure preventative maintenance is completed on all equipment.</p>\n<p>· Ensure the facility is in a sanitary, attractive, safe, orderly condition and in compliance with all regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.</p>\n<p>· Ensure the facility maintains compliance with all regulatory standards (i.e., NFPA, OSHA, etc.) and accreditation requirements (i.e., CMS, TJC, etc).</p>\n<p>· Provide staff management including hiring, development, training, performance management, and communication to ensure effective and efficient department operation.</p>\n<p>· Ensure proper operations and maintenance of water systems, emergency electrical systems, sewage systems, primary electrical systems, telephone systems, fire alarm systems, and heating and cooling systems.</p>\n<p>· Develop facility maintenance plans, timetables for completion ,and recommendations for maintenance projects.</p>\n<p>· Serve as project manager for small-scale, short-duration projects.</p>\n<p>· Respond to facility fire and disaster situations immediately and assist per emergency plans.</p>\n<p>· Coordinate outside service vendors/contractors and maintenance staff to complete projects as assigned/necessary.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>OTHER FUNCTIONS:</strong></p>\n<p>· Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<p><strong>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS</strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>High School Diploma required.</li>\n <li>Bachelor’s degree or higher level of education in Business or technical field preferred.</li>\n <li>Five or more years’ of Hospital/Healthcare experience involving construction/maintenance preferred.  </li>\n <li>Ten or more years’ construction/maintenance/Healthcare/Hospital <u>supervisory</u> experience preferred.</li>\n</ul>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n<p>· Valid state driver's license, where required in a facility.</p>\n<p>· CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).</p>\n<p>· First aid may be required based on state or facility.</p>\n<p>· Valid Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) will be preffered.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>While this job description is intended to be an accurate reflection of the requirements of the job, management reserves the right to add or remove duties from particular jobs when circumstances (e.g. emergencies, changes in workload, rush jobs or technological developments) dictate.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>We are committed to providing equal  employment opportunities to all applicants for employment regardless of an individual’s characteristics protected by applicable state, federal and local laws.</p>\n<p> </p>\n<p>HFORD</p>\n<p>#LI-HFBF</p>",
