    "description": "<p><span>FACTA, LLC is actively seeking a Certified PAACO (Swine) Animal Welfare Auditor Contractor.  As an Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our organization adheres to the highest standards of animal welfare and ethical practices. This position involves conducting thorough audits of our facilities, suppliers, and partners to assess and improve animal welfare conditions.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Who is FACTA?</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span>FACTA is a nationally recognized leader in designing cutting-edge and pragmatic Animal Welfare training, verification, and certification tools. Our team will work jointly with clients to create and implement socially responsible on-farm company policies to protect your livestock, brand, and profits in an economically sensible manner.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span>We provide large and small farms with the independent animal welfare assurance and verification that today’s consuming public has come to expect. FACTA’s standards not only meet market expectations but exceed them. Our end goal is to ensure that you remain in compliance with and stay ahead of the ever-evolving animal welfare market demands.</span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Your Key Responsibilities:</span></span></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Focus on learning audit tools and procedures in one species when learning the position and company. Begin to develop cross species skills and expanding knowledge of other animal welfare sectors.</p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Conduct audits at assigned facilities.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ensure consistency and accuracy in all audits and audit reports.</span></li>\n<li><span>Communicate with client in preparation for audit.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain confidentiality about all aspects of work and adhere to all procedures established by FACTA and its auditing clients.</span></li>\n<li><span>Follow and adhere to all required protocols and procedures including submitting a detailed time and expense report prior to firm deadline.</span></li>\n<li><span>Scheduling audit associated travel.</span></li>\n<li><span>Communicate with management, producers and others as needed.</span></li>\n<li><span>Able to work independently in a timely manner without direct oversight.</span></li>\n<li><span>Effectively exhibit communication, listening, and problem-solving skills including asking questions. Escalate risks and issues beyond own experience or skill set.</span></li>\n<li><span>Comply with Firm practice management procedures and systems.</span></li>\n<li><span>Complete audit procedures that obtain sufficient appropriate audit evidence with a focus on quality and in accordance with applicable auditing standards.</span></li>\n<li><span>Maintain professional skepticism including consideration of alternative and disconfirming evidence.</span></li>\n<li><span>Complete tasks and deliverables to a high-quality standard.</span></li>\n<li><span>Keep senior team members informed of significant developments and progress on the engagement.</span></li>\n<li><span>Basic knowledge of industry jargon. Intermediate knowledge in swine.</span></li>\n<li><span>Travel required with some trips beginning on Sunday evening. Frequency depending upon amount of work contracted. Audits are located across the United States.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Qualifications:</span></span></p>\n<p><span> </span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Bachelor’s degree and education related to animal production and welfare is preferred.</span></li>\n<li><span>A minimum of five years of experience and/or training in swine production or welfare (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered). Please note this does not include veterinary care for domestic animals. </span></li>\n<li>Hold an active PAACO Certification (Swine).</li>\n<li><span>Animal welfare or animal husbandry exposure is required.</span></li>\n<li><span>Computer proficiency required with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.</span></li>\n<li><span>Possess a U.S. passport or real ID.</span></li>\n<li><span>Effective oral and written communication skills.</span></li>\n<li><span>Exceptional attention to detail.</span></li>\n<li><span>Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to work independently, follow through on all assignments and meet deadlines.</span></li>\n<li><span>Possess working knowledge of livestock handling tools.</span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to travel to on-site audits. </span></li>\n<li><span>Ability to lift 50 lbs.</span></li>\n<li>Working on farm may require walking for for several miles in uneven terrain, sitting for extended periods, standing for extended periods, kneeling, crouching, and working in varying temperatures. </li>\n<li>To ensure that biosecurity guidelines are followed and met the applicant cannot own or have any regular contact with birds or pigs. This includes domestic birds, pets, and commercial livestock.
