    "description": "<p>Stellar Care and Services is hiring for direct support professionals for our Day Program and supported living services in the Denver Metro Area.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job purpose:</span> DSP/Mentors assist and support adults with developmental disabilities in the community as they participate in activities, learn new life skills as well as assist participants to reach their personal goals.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Essential job duties:</span> DSP/Mentors provide transportation to and from activities and ensure safety within the community. DSP/Mentors provide companionship and support during day program hours, teach and assist participants with life skills and provide assistance to participants in self care and personal care as needed. DSP/Mentors assist participants in working toward their personal goals.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Job types:</span> Full and part time positions are available</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Schedule:</span> Our working hours are M-F from 8am to 4pm. </p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Compensation:</span> Starting at $19.29 with mileage reimbursement $.52/mile.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold\">Applicants Must:</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li><br>Have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent</li>\n<li><br>Have a valid driver’s license<br></li>\n<li><br>Have a safe and reliable vehicle<br></li>\n<li><br>Carry appropriate vehicle insurance</li>\n<li><br>Be able to work independently and in cooperation with others</li>\n<li><br>Be able to lift and transfer 50-75 lbs.</li>\n<li><br>1 year working or advocating for individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This is a driving position that will require the use of your personal vehicle to transport the clients we serve.
