Headquartered in Tysons, Virginia, LMI is committed to delivering impactful results that strengthen missions and drive lasting value.</p>\n<h2>Responsibilities</h2>\n<p>LMI is seeking a skilled Transportation and Distribution Specialist to work in the Army G-4 in the Pentagon in Arlington, VA<strong>.</strong> Successful LMI Transportation and Distribution Sr. Consultant demonstrate competency in<strong> critical thinking, analysis and business growth while upholding the highest standard of ethical behavior.</strong></p>\n<p> </p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities may include: </strong></p>\n<ul>\n <li>Support projects analyzing existing system-support supply chains (including, inventory management, maintenance, and distribution) in government organizations such as the Department of War (DoW).</li>\n <li>Provide consulting services on DoW logistics strategy and supply chain materiel management policy and guidance related to both weapon system lifecycle product support and all classes of supply, with particular focus on wholesale and retail level inventory management processes, policies, performance measurement and analysis.</li>\n <li>Support and lead projects analyzing and making improvement recommendations on existing system-support supply chains at both the wholesale and retail levels in government organizations such as the DoW.</li>\n <li>Provide support to government organizations such as the DoW for inventory management, provisioning, distribution, and packaging principles, concepts, policies and processes to ensure enterprise wide efficient, cost effective end-to-end logistics performance.</li>\n <li>Support government organizations such as the DoW to progress in establishing weapon system life cycle management sustainment activities, including statutory requirements, to establish a single supply catalogue and a standardization program to eliminate overlapping and duplicate specifications and reduce the number of National Stock Numbers that are generally similar.  </li>\n <li>Support government organizations such as the DoW to progress in correcting audit findings and material weaknesses in Inventory, Operating Material & Supplies, and Requisitioning.; </li>\n <li>Support government organizations such as the DoW for inventory and distribution business ideas, innovative solutions, and alternatives that will improve business practices and decision making.</li>\n <li>Review and monitor Defense Components Supply Working Capital Funds programming and budgeting requirements.</li>\n <li>Analyze and assess DoW and other government agency logistics and supply chain policies and procedures against current performance metrics and make recommendations on policy and/or process improvements.</li>\n <li>Provide administrative and technical writing support for the successful maintenance and update of DoW and other government agency supply chain issuances and policies to include:</li>\n <ul>\n  <li>Work collaboratively with the appropriate government stakeholders to capture and articulate information for DoW and other government agency issuances maintenance and updates and;</li>\n  <li>Work with appropriate DoW and other government agency personnel to identify and capture current and changes in supply chain business processes for policy and procedures in issuances; incorporate policy and procedures changes into issuances based on guidance and recommendations from GAO, IG Audits and directive memorandums.</li>\n </ul>\n <li>Provide program management support, perform data analysis, develop briefings and papers for all levels of DoW leadership, and conduct research in support of DoW logistics strategy and supply chain initiatives.</li>\n <li>Prepare and finalize correspondence including letters, memoranda, briefings, speeches, presentations, meeting minutes, and reports.</li>\n</ul>\n<h2>Qualifications</h2>\n<ul>\n <li><p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p>\n  <ul>\n   <li>Bachelors degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or similar discipline  </li>\n   <li>10+ plus years’ experience in DoW logistics and supply chain management.</li>\n   <li>Knowledge of commercially based advanced modeling, networking, scheduling and inventory optimization systems and techniques in order to support development of supply, inventory management, and distribution policy to improve materiel management of spare part inventories.</li>\n   <li>Good quantitative and analytical skills </li>\n   <li>Demonstrated ability to use MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.</li>\n   <li>Superior communication skills, both oral and written </li>\n   <li>High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry </li>\n   <li>Ability to create and foster a cooperative work environment.</li>\n   <li>Self-directed, detail oriented in completing assigned tasks, able to adapt to changing work efforts and manage impact of shifting priorities.</li>\n   <li>Availability for occasional travel.</li>\n   <li><strong><u>This position requires an active security clearance. You must be a US citizen.</u></strong><u></u></li>\n   <li><p><strong>DESIRED SKILLS</strong></p>\n    <ul>\n     <li>Master’s degree (Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred)</li>\n     <li>Prior military or DoW civilian/contractor experience </li>\n     <li>Ability to develop mathematical models and simulations of business operations.</li>\n    </ul></li>\n  </ul><p> </p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Targeted Salary Range: 100,000 - 135,000</p>\n<p>The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation.
